The EU Wants to SEIZE Your Old Car to Meet Climate Goals

[livingston]

The EU is now finding more ways to take away your freedoms. They want to take away ownership of your old car and scrap it! Yes, you read that correctly.

The EU has something called End-of-life vehicles directive, and they are looking to expand this to become so draconian that it reminds of something that would have happened in the Communist Soviet Union.
A new set of criteria will be established that will decide whether you will be allowed to keep your car. If your car does not meet the criteria, the EU will seize your car and scrap it.There is an exception however for cars that are more than 30 years old. But they have to be original. Meaning that if you put a different engine in it than original and your car hasn’t been through an EU control check within the last two years, then they will scrap it!
Meaning that many older cars will be considered “waste” by the EU and they will SEIZE your car and scrap it for you – All under the excuse of recycling and meeting climate goals.

I await the green helmets arrival..................

I burn wood, coal oil, gas, use Tide Powder detergent, have old cars/race cars, guns, ammo........I hunt for meat, cut trees, use fertilizer on our farm.

Delusional, deranged greenies, from little girls to faggoted old men like John Kerry and Al gore.....have never once taken over the world..Mao and Lenin did it by extreme violence and guns, as did Cuba.

Clunkers 2.0

I'd like for them to try that here.

While my next door neighbor's 20 year old son is doing burnouts outs with a 1998 Dodge RAM 1500 that he refurbished from the ground up.....

Oh, and he said that I'm not allowed to buy a hybrid or an EV. He don't wanna see that shit out here in the country. So I complied and went a step further and got an oil burner. Put a smile right on that kids face.

They should start with India and china.

Hell, the inventor of the diesel engine, Rudolf Diesel, originally designed the diesel engine to use coal dust as fuel. Let's go back to its roots. Just got to have good crankcase protection and ventilation.

Coal-Fueled Diesel Engines

The use of pulverized coal as a fuel for diesel engines can be a practical and efficient means of substituting coal for oil and gas in medium size applications such as railroad locomotives, ships and industrial stationary and co-generation power. These applications could result in reducing the oil a

I am still a firm believer that compression ignition engines are still the future.

Hey, EU. PM me. I'll provide my address. Just curious, what do you guys eat? I'll have some snacks out for ya.

I'd pay good money to get the opportunity to kick a climate change asshole right in the fucking nuts and not get in trouble for it.

Don’t worry because the EU can’t impose this lunacy on the U.S. but you can bet your ass that the assholes like whorecul and nuisance from Ca. Fucking will.

Actually CA already is on 2007 and prior diesel trucks. You can't register them... just not the seizing part -- yet.

kinda funny aint it.... they never include those two countries in the conversation. makes you go hum.........

I have something for your "end-of-vehicle-life" directive, it's called "fuck with my old vehicle and I'll end your life."
What was that thing in the Constitution about depriving without Due Process?
In a declared State of Emergency, the "authorities" CAN sieze your vehicles/equipment/property for emergency use, afterwards I'm not real sure what happens... I can shut that old Truck off where it's useless to anyone that's not savvy enough to diagnose why it won't start/run.

Hey ... EU ..

EU .. inhale this

I thought there was a time when Monkeyface Partytits wanted to do this (or the corrupt NY Legislature) and it was stopped because Monkeyface realized he'd lose his prize corvette.
I remember people with classic cars being worried they wouldn't be allowed to register them anymore and were looking at ways to get them out of NY.

That would decimate all car and truck shows. I went to quite a few car shows this year, more than I have even when I was a kid.

According to a recent Consumer Reports survey of its readers, electric vehicles are generally less reliable than combustion engine rides, despite having fewer interconnected and moving parts. Moreover, some EV models “definitely fail to deliver in terms of range, price and features,”

I regularly start up my cars in storage... to circulate the oils and charge the batterys..all are old with no cats.................I stay warm nearby, burning wood and oil on a big campfire.....................but no tires.....
I fart a bit, run the chainsaw a bit, and weedeater............oil heats best.

[Acer-m14]

mean while in upstate NY ..

Look to me like a SNOW FARM ..

Unless you're making sure they come up to full operating temp you're doing more damage than you think you're preventing. You'd be better off fogging the cylinders and keeping the battery on a tender.
Starting and running a stored vehicle only builds up condensation in the crankcase and rusts everything out.

We just need to heat the entire area so we make people stop leaving because the weather and we can make energy. I’m waiting for a liberal to propose this.

[Saltwater60]

Only a complete moron would think this is climate friendly or about the climate. 30 years is crazy. What about those that bought sports cars 10 years ago as an investment??

Is there an exception if one keeps it off the road?
At least Obama did cash for clunkers

They made these low enough to shoot at the deer.

Yes, but at least they didn’t take away the car from the owner. The owner got cash for it or could keep driving it.
