It's the type of oil that makes the difference. There a 3 main kinds of crude oil. Not all refineries can handle them all. Most of the time a refinery is set up to handle just one type. You can't just switch types.
Absolutely true. I used to transport Potash and Urea from rail yards to farms. This time a year was the "crazy busy" time. Those rail cars we loaded from were loaded weeks/months earlier.
That's northern hemisphere growing season. Fertilizer is used year round. It just gets shipped to different areas depending on the time of year. Crops can be planted with less or even none. It's the yields that suffer. Yes, prices are going up no matter what happens. I have to wonder if the USA...
