Any law passed is another form of control. I agree (in principle) with the law but not that it should be formally "allowed" by NYS law. This is just another disguised attempt to control medical costs and has nothing to do with compassion on the part of government.
Yup. This was the driver. DONT post the instructions via the manufacturer on-line or on the packaging. Any jail-house attorney could have won this just based on manufacturer arrogance and disregard (not a bad thing to be sure).
Disclaimer: They make good products, BTW... :)
I normally drive a bit out of the way via NY-17/I-86, bypassing that state. Adds about 20 miles to my trips but lowers the anxiety just in case the truck breaks down and 'assistance' is dispatched.
I vote yes for 372-2026. It will probably never come up for a vote. $340 (new), $140 (renewal) is excessive and disenfranchises a lot of law-abiding citizens in NYC.
In addition to a NYS FFL charging $250 for the NJ Class, then the NJ Fees of $200, as well as the IdentoGo fingerprinting fee of $66.50, this will bring the total for the "privilege" of lawful carry in NJ to over $500.
Thoughts, or just keep my stuff locked away in the trunk while traveling...
