Any law passed is another form of control. I agree (in principle) with the law but not that it should be formally "allowed" by NYS law. This is just another disguised attempt to control medical costs and has nothing to do with compassion on the part of government.

I normally drive a bit out of the way via NY-17/I-86, bypassing that state. Adds about 20 miles to my trips but lowers the anxiety just in case the truck breaks down and 'assistance' is dispatched.

In addition to a NYS FFL charging $250 for the NJ Class, then the NJ Fees of $200, as well as the IdentoGo fingerprinting fee of $66.50, this will bring the total for the "privilege" of lawful carry in NJ to over $500. Thoughts, or just keep my stuff locked away in the trunk while traveling...
