Anywhere that serves alcohol is a no go for guns in NYS. It’s a felony too.

As soon as the guy shot the jukebox I hit the floor behind the bar, the waitress ran in the kitchen screaming and the cook dialed 911. Within a minute we had town cops and troopers in the bar, guns drawn. The shooter had his badge out as did the other 2 assholes with him and the town cops and troopers did a 180 degree turn in attitude. They went from ready to start shooting to asking the shooter why he did it and a couple troopers laughed. One town cop, a close friend of mine, wanted to arrest the shooter but was told to STFU and leave. I was taken aside, as was the waitress and cook, and told if we knew what was good for us we would keep our mouths shut. Everyone went on their merry way. After that, unless I knew you really well, and cop or not, if I knew you were carrying I gave you the choice of locking your pistol in your car or leaving. I caught quite a bit of flak from the NYC cops who came up for the weekend but I really don't give a shit. A couple threatened to kick my ass and damn near all of them told me if they ever caught me in NYC they were "take good care of me". I am still standing. Of course, I don't go to NYC, either.
