So they can’t help us him owner's out, but they sure can hurt us - and they did with this one. This one is scary for sure. Buckle up because NYS will extort this rule greatly. I have recently heard all the NYS police investigators do anymore is search for ways to take our guns. I know an officer who told someone they do not want to be an investigator with the NYSP for this very reason. This will intensify this. Buckle up.

They changed the standard from probable cause to reasonable suspicion. It’s a different legal precedent and standard. Probable is more than likely and to me reasonable is 50/50. So they hear yelling and now they enter where before they needed to hear a physical fight or what was probably a physical fight is what comes to my mind.
The liberal justice eluded to just having a gun in the home essentially raises the risk to reasonable suspicion so be aware. NYS will likely push this.

A criminal complaint against you, by an ex wife or girlfriend can almost ensure a visit.

Exigent circumstances and qualified immunity are reasonable anyway.
House on fire, tornado, shots fired, etc...........were always enough.

This says it’s not even close to a criminal complaint. A simple call saying I’m worried now might be enough for them to enter your home without a warrant.

Fuck qualified immunity.

If you can't do your job without immunity, then you shouldn't be allowed to have that job.

The fact is, that welfare checks are already commonly done by LE.

Much ado about nothing...............................you are going to cooperate and let the cops in when they knock and ask about some incident in your home, like a minor fire or emergency call, that requires the VFD to come.

Many unregistered AW's have been found, as a result of a minor complaint.
The Safe Act, allows inspections of registered AW's.

Adapt, comply, adapt, comply.

Lots of things are common, that doesn't make them right.

Street thugs commonly kill people for "disrespecting" them. Is that part if the "social contract" in those neighborhoods too ?

It used to be common for law enforcement to search houses to see if you were harboring any escaped slaves. You going to defend that too ?

We should have tried and executed every one of them that did that after that war, as a warning to the future that "following orders" or "endorcing the law" wasn't an excuse.

Minnesota gun control just crossed into warrantless home inspections, and every American should be paying attention.

In this video, I break down Minnesota Senate File 4290, a bill introduced on March 10, 2026, that would ban possession of many semiautomatic rifles and large-capacity magazines, require current owners to request certification to keep certain firearms, and require them to agree to law enforcement inspection of storage. The bill text also limits where certified firearms may be possessed and exempts government officers, armed forces members, and peace officers acting within the scope of their duties.

I’m talking about the Second Amendment, the Fourth Amendment, gun registration, warrantless searches, assault weapon bans, magazine bans, and what happens when the government starts turning constitutional rights into conditional privileges. If I have to register a firearm I already legally own, ask permission to keep it, and agree to let the government inspect my home, that is not a right anymore. That is government control. The official bill text says current owners who want to keep covered firearms must request certification and “agree to allow the appropriate law enforcement agency to inspect the storage of the device.”

very simple solution to a jacked-up .gov problem.

When the cops show up and knock on the door, DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR. Talk through the door or a window and simply state.

Officer, I am recording this interaction, Im fine, whoever lodged this complaint is mistaken. If you look in the window, you can see I am physically and mentally fine. You may now leave my property. Good day.

If they blow in the door after that, keep recording, document EVERYTHING. Now the burden is on the cops
