It will be interesting to see what happens here. I’m not sure what these people think if they keep electing commiecrats this is what will happen.
I’ll be curious to see the video of it gets released. If it’s as described this should have never occurred.

So, what was unlawful about the gathering ?

Waiting in line for muffins isn't unlawful.

I gave you a "lawful order"! Obey me now or go to jail!

I'm a police officer, I think I know the law.

I hope a civil rights violation suit is thrown into the mix. Who knows, maybe a competent judge who has discernment and critical thinking abilities will dismiss the criminal case. Sounds like a bully cop with a bad attitude needs a spanking.

This guy should for their target voting demographics though so k don’t get it. I can only imagine he’s been a problem in the past or it could be drug hotspot? Of course that’s pure speculation and he could be the greatest guy in the world.
I have to say some cops are crap. I have a cop in a class I’m teaching now and the term ended, cop lied about when class work was done, tried to say it had been done for a few days, tried to lie about how the grading works( like I don’t know), tried to lie about why they are taking the course/how they are enrolled and a few other things. Even tried to tell me this is the last course they are enrolled in like it would make them done if I graded their late work. Basically they don’t think I know how any of this works. I can see everything and they opened the course after the deadline had passed and cheated to get the work done in a few hours. I can see it all. I’m denying them credit because they handed it in late and they are trying every which way to lie to get me to grade it. Great example of law enforcement. I have time between courses so I should just do them this favor once and how busy he’s been. Also told me how this has happened in the past and other teachers are taking their work, so a one time favor huh? Ok, so the rules apply to everyone but you?not a good look and I’m not taking it.

I remember when they told Nick Tahoes they had to close the downtown restaurant at night and couldn't run 24/7 anymore.

Because there was so much crime in the vicinity.

That was absolutely stupid. You think the criminals are going to behave just because the restaurant *everyone* hangs out at is closed ?

With Tahoes open at 2am you knew where they would be (along with half the college kids).

Forcing it to close just means the miscreants are going to scatter all over the place.

Should be *way* easier to police when you know where all the bad guys are going to be ahead if time.

Unless your goal isn't to actually police them, and you were upset that being able to find them so quickly was interfering with your "sit around and do nothing for a paycheck" time.

You really think the cop that showed up to Tahoes came up with that idea on their own?

No. It came from either the chief or the mayors office thru the chain.

Oh, I know. The cops that would be eating at Tahoes seemed pretty cool too.

But the people who issued the edict were also cops. And they apparently have no idea how the world works.
