This world has become too PC. 'Alleged' car jackers? They took her car. It's on video. They are 'Actual' car jackers. Good for her for fighting back. I'm glad she wasn't injured worse or killed. She was clearly outnumbered.
I view gas stations with a wary eye. I’m careful where I fill up,- and when.
And when I’m filling up, it’s one hand on the pump, and the other on my EDC.
Oh yeah,- and I try to only tap with my cc. Too many skimmers are being used. Skimmers have been found installed at some stations I have used in the area,- and those weren’t at sketchy stations either. Some were found at Quick Trip, Exxon, and BP.

Im shocked at how many people I watch filling up with their face buried in their little screens. Its literally one of the most vulnerable positions yiu can get yourself into

We charge at home, in the garage.
Problem solved.
When we do have to get some gas or diesel for other equipment, it's usually 2 of us and a 120lb Rottweiler, in the car and we're both armed.
A carjacking attempt would not go well for them.
In her case, she should have hosed the guy down with the gas pump. Right in the face. Bet he would have just run away.

This kind of thing is my biggest concern when travelling.
With 29 States allowing for Constitutional Carry this concern is slightly lessened, but brings up another concern.
What happens if I have to defend myself in a tyrannical State?
PA (the small section near Erie I drive through to get to Ohio)
IL (as corrupt and tyrannical as the State I am leaving)
NM (almost as bad as NY and IL)
Of the three, NM is my biggest concern as I usually end up stopping for the night there.

Pretty much the same, most of the time I buy fuel from somewhere I have a Fuel Card for (direct payment) and when traveling, I try to find well established places like Loves, Bucky's, etc.
