Bingo. Keeping it illegal keeps this in check and other doors closed. We will be Canada before long. The dirty little secret in the medical field is that this has been going on for decades.
Not for things like depression and anxiety like in Canada currently, but done in the confines of a home with doctor "supervision".
This is extremely common, I have first hand experience.
Through a lot of conversation and hard decisions, a hospice doctor and a caregiver make a plan to increase comfort meds to an extremely and gravely ill loved one.
Over a few days the meds are increased until...well....you know.
Again, this isn't done in the average case. This is done for patients who are completely incoherent and very near death. Its no different than discontinuing care for a terminally ill patient in a hospital. And very close to a "do not resuscitate" order.
I dig into this because it seemed a bit vague and lacked details. I wanted to know more about this so I looked and found this. This is a difficult case. But the mere thought of euthanizing an infant is abhorrent.

There’s an eye opening story about a female Canadian vet in a wheelchair. She asked for help getting a ramp and home access. The home counselor visit focused “would it be easier just to end all this to avoid the pain”. You see avoiding treatment and facilitation is actually cheaper than doing the right thing. The dirty little secret in the medical field is that this has been going on for decades.

British Crown controlled Countries and their "Free Health Care" system, might as well include the Cubans too. It's free, and unless you're somebody special (in which case you can seek and pay for treatment outside the system) then you'll get what we give you when we get around to it....can't wait? then let us help you end your life, give your spot to someone else you selfish bastard. There’s an eye opening story about a female Canadian vet in a wheelchair. Veteran offered assisted suicide after asking for wheelchair help
The veteran testified last week that she was shocked when the Veterans Affairs employee offered her assisted suicide as a solution to her suffering.www.ewtnnews.com
Slippery slope in a government sourced system.
No surprise here with the POS’s running that country. They hate her and her spirit. They hate independence and so do our democrats. There’s an eye opening story about a female Canadian vet in a wheelchair. She asked for help getting a ramp and home access. There's a hell of a difference between dying and being killed...I've seen 'em both.I also have first hand experience with that. I was on to it, but I was fine with it because of the circumstances at the time. I figured it was for the best when considering everything including the other family members.
It was like the person I'm speaking of was dead but still awake. I was glad when she finally passed away and was no longer suffering from dementia. It was gut-wrenching to experience watching a loved one go through something like that.
I would rather end things myself than go through the later stages of dementia.
Yet another "right wing conspiracy" that's come to pass.No surprise here with the POS’s running that country. They hate her and her spirit. They hate independence and so do our democrats.
I live close to Roswell park and MRI places in Buffalo and I can tell you they cater to Canadian who don’t want to die. Canada won’t treat them so they come here. We treat them and save them. $25 doctor visits don’t pay enough to develop new treatments.
My personal experience is that, unless the tumor is surgically removeable, you'll die.I live close to Roswell park and MRI places in Buffalo and I can tell you they cater to Canadian who don’t want to die. Everyone dies from cancer, unless they die from something else first. My personal experience is that, unless the tumor is surgically removeable, you'll die.
Right now my family is batting a 50% average.
2 died. Non surgical.
2 live. surgical. (including myself).
Those nice, sophisticated canadians.
All Cancer SUCKS ! Sorry for your loss. Prayers sent to you and yours in your time of mourning.I'm going to write this from current and past PERSONAL EXPERIENCE: Our Son fought Ewing's sarcoma off and on for close to ten years (almost five year remission)
Two years ago it came back, we treated it and in the last two months the treatments did as much damage as the cancer to the point where chemo was no longer an option, surgery couldn't remove all the tumor, and radiation was well past usual limits: Comfort care became the treatment, there were multiple drugs used to establish a tolerable, but ever INCREASING level of pain, THAT'S WHY "more drugs" are used, and unless and until you've experienced it or worked with Patient eaten up with terminal cancer then you should seize the opportunity to shut the fuck up.
We're holding a Funeral Mass Saturday morning and would appreciate prayers for everyone associated with this horrid disease.
