Good thing the democrat party (which isn't really all that democratic) is going out of their way to be as stupid and gullible as possible. It might, MIGHT, just save the Republican's asses this November.
Maybe.

Right now it's a hotly contested race to the bottom to see which side can be the most idiotic and anti-We The People.

They’re caught between the people they serve and protect (who are told they are dirty, racist, self serving) and the people changing laws and telling them which laws to enforce which day, which demographic. Doing Correct vs Right.

Sounds like an Age Old struggle.

If you look at the police vehicles last few years, they no longer have "Serve and Protect" on them. No duty to help, just clean up the mess I guess.

People fail to realize the "news" is simply bombastic entertainment disguised as facts...if it doesn't anger, entice, or leave you spellbound then you'll loose interest and they loose viewers, and when that happens, sponsors/advertisers also fall away....it's all psychological manipulation.

“If it bleeds it Reads”. Media is entertainment merged with propaganda, opinion, advertisement, and direction.

My point is the low pay LEOS out there are conflicted with the politicians tying their hands. And confusing law guidance.

Police are to enforce Laws as explained to them.
DA's and Judges are to prosecute according to their interpretations of said Laws.
Assclowns (Legislatures) with little to no understanding of exactly what they propose or vote for as supplied by Lobbyist, Special Interests, peers, etc.

Cops can't arrest/detain/cite unless the Legislature has passed and the Governor signed said infraction into Law.
Judges can't set Bail if the Legislature that wrote the Law says you can't.
DA's can't prosecute if the Legislature says not to or minimizes it to the point of not being worth the time, effort, and expense.

Back to the point: Low Pay LEO's likely don't have much more than a Criminal Justice Degree from a Community College (which often isn't necessary to be hired) some courses and training along with some ride time before being fielded. They generally aren't attorneys or experts on the Law, and while you're 'cuffed in the back seat, they're consulting Black's Law or some other source to see if they have enough to bring you in, write an appearance ticket, or cut you loose. (this is why you keep your mouth shut not arguing with the Cop who doesn't give a fuck about bringing you in and letting someone else sort it out)
