Nice work Cgrutt. I know you're downstate, but maybe you should consider advertising around (and traveling to) the finger lakes. Lots of folks have second homes on the lakes and are beholden to the locals, who aren't always the best or reasonably priced. Just a thought.

That's great news about adding more bays - that's what caused the backups when I was there. I will definitely give them another try. I think they are holding monthly steel matches.

May I ask how long the match lasted? I shot a steel challenge there previously and what should have been a 2-3 hour match lasted 6 hours. I think they were overwhelmed with entrants and didn't know how to handle it. I hope they are running the matches better - I'd love to see them be successful.

Indoor range: 3 hours - half hour drive each way, two hours at the range Outdoor: only a 5 minute drive and two hours there. Weird thing is I always wish I brought more ammo. You'd think I'd learn.

I don't reload. I do help work the shoots though - taping targets after they're scored, etc, so I am in the range after the shooter shoots. I think it's from breathing what's floating around in the air (lead from primer explosion and from whatever got vaporized from the back of the bullet)...

Unfortunately, they are not the last word. It would be up to the DA to indict or not based on the penal law. So some NYSP officer might choose not to charge someone, which would be great, but without something to point to in the penal law that says this is okay, one would be rolling the dice...

This looked really promising: SHOTMAXX Shot Timer But it is now discontinued with a newer version in the works. I came close to buying one, guess I am glad I didn't.

My bud and I used one of the iphone apps over the weekend, and once we got it calibrated for our pistols, it worked pretty well. The nice thing about the apps is that you can get results electronically and track progress easier (vs manually writing it down and entering it).
