Action shooting? Range use only? I suggest you focus on purpose and proceed from there. You may want to go with something that doesn't have all the goodies, and add as needed; a good platform on which to build.
I like RIA.
Are you familiar with GIS? You could try Google Earth, or your county online mapper...planning dept. parcel info. From anMeasure off the 500
This is a good approach. Draw the 500 radius out from any neighboring structure as a buffer. Decks and porches do not count. Print your map and have...
I have a parasite in-law and his spawn that live in Monroe. He or his ex could have penned that POS article. There is something going on up there that ain't healthy.
We should understand that in some measure ignorance equates with arrogance. For me they are mostly the same. Consider the liberal progressive element that is entrenched in education, and look no further than Albany for proof. There is an expression that the definition of arrogance is not...
Used black powder rifles can be had for very little money. They won't be fancy; plastic stock, crappy sights, paint. Cheap way to get into it, then fine tune as you discover which way to go; round ball, percussion, flintlock, caliber, intended use, etc.. My first was a kit, came out great...
It sort of followed me home this past summer, along with some 22s and the rolling block. I wasn't really interested in it, but the more I learned about it, and handled it, the more I wanted to take to the range. Not pretty...pretty awesome!
1912 RSAF Enfield. Yes, it looks to be in pretty good condition. There is a wood piece that needs to be replaced, $40 for a new one. It's out at Turnbull's to get the barrel scoped and the chamber measured. Supposedly it was a shooter, but I want to be sure before I pull the trigger.
My first 45 was Para compact LDA. Loved that thing, gone now. I remember that the frame cracked tangent the mag released. Para replaced the frame no questions asked.
For me it will be both rifle and pistol. wet tumbling is appealing, but for small volume batches dry tumbling looks like it might be the best approach. I guess if I was doing thousand of cases, or even hundreds, I can see where wet really shines (see what I did there?).
I plan to do some reloading come spring. I'm a newbie and have done a fair amount of web browsing for equipment and process. Soapy water, wet tumblers, walnut shells...don't even bother cleaning brass...all kinds of opinions on the topic. I doubt my needs will be for anything over 50 cases at...
I am by nature and taught by experience to distrust and be skeptical of government, and especially when law enforcement is involved. Thirty years with this state and four different agencies...there is no limit to arrogance, or stupidity. We must be watchful and not become complacent. Remember...
I complied, but suffer no illusions that doing so was only a delaying action at best. Something will unfold, and some unfortunate individual will be made an example of. Time, expense, lawyers, we all know how it will go FUAC.
Hmm...I believe the G10 stocks come in different degrees of "aggressiveness." Might check that out. Just ordered a belt and pancake from Tucker...birthday present for me.
I've a RIA 45 in the MS size...commander 4.25 barrel. New gun, haven't had it out yet. I thought it was a pretty good value for the money. The grips though, are the G10 stuff and are very aggressive, very edgy. I'm a wood grip guy so I'll probably change them eventually. Good to hear a...
