NYC limit is 200 rounds. Anywhere else there's no limit. Regardless of where you are, nobody will (or should) know how much you have, so don't worry about it.
Sounds like they knew him from multiple contacts. Likely mentally disturbed and they developed a bit of a relationship with him from working that neighborhood.
Exactly. I know Robin didn't imply that he would, so I'm not commenting on that, but I have an 8 year old who unless I drill it into him not to, would open the door for anyone who knocked, at any time of the day or night. It's hard to explain to him why we shouldn't do that without sullying his...
I'd have 10x more ammo than I do if it wasn't for my wife constantly bitching every time I bought some. Even still, I have plenty, but plenty still isn't enough
I remember trying the "I can't breathe" excuse when I was a freshman getting my ass handed to me on the mat. The referee said matter of factly with much disdain in his voice, "if you can talk, you can breathe". I never pulled that again.
His death was a result of his own stupid, crazed, drug...
This is the response
Guess maybe I WAS living under a rock, cuz I didn't see that thread, lol. So restrictions have been lifted and they still refuse to sell here. F them. This was my response to the guy I was corresponding with. May take the time to send another to higher ups. May not...
Grabagun typically does too. I've probably purchased a dozen firearms from them in recent years, but that stops now. I'll include my receipts illustrating that in my next correspondence.
That's the thing. All the FFL's are open, but their FFL lookup wouldn't pull up any NY ones. I sent a follow up email sling if this was a store policy for now it if there was something from the state that is keeping them from sending stuff to NY
Ok, so I don't think I've been living under a rock, but I've tried to buy two firearms in the last couple days and neither company would allow my transaction to be completed. I emailed one of them and they said it's due to Covid. Wtf?! I know there was a period where Cumhole tried to ban the...
You can let others borrow your long guns even here in NY. However, if any of the universal background check bills become law, then it would be illegal unless you did an actual transfer with the requisite paperwork and feed associated with it
I'm totally not one of those douche bags who says "But did you have to shoot?" or "couldn't you have just whatever..." when the guy was posing an imminent threat to the officer, but I'm not so sure about this one.
There's another laser shooting trainer out there that I just saw that's similar. I don't remember what it was called. Didn't look too closely at it for fear of buyers remorse, lol. Might want to look into that one too. The Mantis trainer takes it to another level, but it's spendy
It is fun. But it's very useful too. Forces you to optimize your draw and get on target quickly. My goal is 1.5 second draw to first shot. That's easy without a cover garment. Clearing that quickly and efficiently can be tricky sometimes
Had a steel match last night and realized that my draw to first shot was abysmal. Stood there for like 3 seconds trying to get a good sight picture. So today I pulled out the iTarget practice apparatus thingy. It's actually quite useful and fun. Spices up the old dry firing.
If you look...
9mm I got was .22 per round, brass case. 38 special was a bit more inflated at .44 a round. I would call those prices a result of supply and demand. Other places charging .40 to .50 per round is gouging. So, about 5 and 8 cents more per round respectively than usual isn't too bad in my opinion...
I remember you mentioning that. I'd be pissed with them as well. I've had nothing but positive experiences with them so I keep using them. I hope it stays that way
I agree, but now's not the time to be virtuous when there's the potential to run out of ammo. I won't, but I want to be more comfortable as this shortage goes on for who knows how long. Of course, I'm kinda joking, but I'm tired of cowtowing to the asshole in charge at my expense. So if I can...
... but they won't ship to New Yorkistan. They haven't started gouging yet either. They have just about everything in stock from what I saw all day today. I have a buddy in PA who also shoots and may have added a little extra to his order for a certain someone. Get it while you can
Optics Planet just started selling ammo and has everything in stock and it's not overly inflated. Tried ordering... No dice here in NY. Called a buddy in PA. He ordered 6 cases for me.
I've looked into reloading a while ago and I don't remember how much 115gr fmj bullets were going for before all this crap. Can someone tell me what a good or typical cost per bullet was let's say 6 months ago? Just bullets, not whole cartridges. Thanks.
I remember that too, but I recall that the expensive stuff like defensive ammo and the boutique ammo was still on the shelf. Yesterday they were stripped bare. Now's as good a time as any to start reloading. I've got primers and brass just need to get some bullets and powder.
Stopped in Cabela's today for some bait. I have never seen such devastation in ammo. Weird calibers and shotgun target loads is all thats available. Unreal.
I have a gun safe with my long guns and some pistols in it and a 52" top and bottom tool box with ammo and pistols and gun parts in it. Not worried about keeping them separate.
This does sound eerily familiar to another incident with similar protestations from the family of the deceased. Would've been posted on this site as well. Weird.
I wouldn't bet on it. All they need to say is that it was black. Even if
But I'd bet that 9 times out of ten, it IS black. Even if there is no gun, there's still tons of crap you'd have to put up with before it all got sorted out. No thanks.
I wouldn't bet on it. All they need to say is that it was black. It may fall apart after they look at video if available, but ain't nobody got time for that.
Just got me a GunTalk hat. I don't typically wear gun related shirts when I'm carrying just in case some asshole wants to hedge his bets that I have a gun on me and reports to the police that I brandished or something. Pretty unlikely, but so is the chance that I'll need my gun and I carry that...
There's one for sale on Gun Broker from a NY seller with no mention of NY restrictions or limitations of sales to NY residents. Not that it means anything, but I'm thinking it may be a different part number, out the design of it negates the threaded barrel restriction. Clear as mud, really.
Excuse my ignorance, but I was wondering if this P22 with a compensator is legal in NY. I swear I've seen 22lr pistols on shelves in local stores with integral compensators.

The judge is arguing that just because the gun was in the car "with” the pieces of shit in question that it didn't constitute possession. You bet your ass if you or I had a full featured AR or standard cap mag in our car, or a friend's car, he would certainly argue that it was in our...
It's certainly not because billionaires are pulling the strings of the unions. NYSUT has routinely railed against multiple billionaires trying to get their mitts into education in our state. All unions try to negotiate terms that cost the billionaires money and/or diminish their monetary gains...
