Well it's government mandating that people stay home. If they aren't gonna let us work, they damn well better "bail us out" - by giving us back some of our money. The politicians put our economy's head on the chopping block with their response to this virus.
You seem to miss the fact that...
The economic freeze will do far more damage to our society and it's ripples will be still be felt long after this disease has run it's course. This is a no-win situation but our governments are NOT successfully choosing the least of the evils here.
Told my son last night that we would probably have to restrict his birthday to at home with no friends. After he recovered enough to speak, his first words were "I HATE China!"
That's one silver lining - China's true colors are being recognized by more people.
I read a WaPo article this weekend that was about the efficacy of different outbreak control methods like quarantine and social distancing. It had some simple simulations that illustrated the point well - good information. The last two paragraphs were essentially 'our models don't account for...
This puzzles me as well. A friend just got an offer on his house after less than a day on the market for 10k over asking, cash deal, no contingencies, and closing as fast as the lawyers can make it happen. From what I hear, this is becoming the norm and it's been tough to buy a house in the 100k...
I know exactly how it is to be part of a government organization that enjoys privileged status. I know it's easy to think that civilians ARE somehow a rung lower and that they don't need access to weapon, or ability, or item such-and-such. I know that it's much easier to follow orders without...
I love it. Can't imagine how much fiddling it took to line the bore up to the rest of the receiver but I love it.
Was wondering why you didn't use a 4-jaw until I saw the bottom side was already cut.
Don't worry, if they forget the LEO exemption in their fervor to pass it, they'll just add it a week or two later. Their enforcers (the reason some of them haven't been tarred and feathered already) will be protected.
empiretecandy hooked me up with my Dahuas. I pretty much knew what I wanted but he was really easy to deal with, quick for being on the other side of the world and the prices were equal or a little better compared to what I could find on Amazon. I got these:
IPC-HDW5231R-ZE 2MP Starlight...
Got mine in '14 so my info is a little dated.
Yes, you need to make an appointment just to pick up the application at the Sheriff's office in Lyons. They'll print (and photograph I think) you there. Fill out the app, get your references filled out and send it in. From what I understand, they...
I think they're usually measured from the top of the receiver rail to the CENTER of the rings. If you look at the aero mounts that I linked they have drawings on the individual mount pages that show them at 1.5" for this dimension. The pic you posted looks to me like it's higher than that. Could...
I've got a Burris PEPR. It's build like a tank and it's relatively heavy. The rings split at 3/9 o'clock so that makes it easy to mount when using a gun vise or mag block.
I moved to the Aero Precision ultralight mounts as I got more obsessed with weight. The split at 12/6 o'clock, along with a...
More like the blue idiots can't figure out why their home cities and states went to hell, they flee without thought as to why they are fleeing and when they settle into a new home, they proceed to destroy it like they did their first home. They're emulating a virus.
So with this Virginia shit, the NY shit, Indiana shit, NH shit etc.... Anyone else think Bloomberg's presidential run is only for the Secret Service detail? We all know he's one of the big funders of this insanity.
And it's often John Stark reporting them... and then he falls off the radar until the bullshit in Albany gets hot again. Not sure what to make of it, but the pattern isn't lost on me.
I would bet that's 10s of millions of parts. If you include mags, it'll clear 50 million.
If this happens, I'm getting an 07 and a three axis laser. $10 per part - that's the NYGF special discount rate.
Good question on the federal level - probably not. It doesn't matter though. This bill only applies to the guns that the gunsmith manufactured or caused to be manufactured. Even if they serialize it and register it, it's still defined as a "ghost gun" under this law because the gunsmith didn't...
It's basically .270 Win power from a short action cartridge (that will fit in all the AR-10 mags, where long action cartridges won't). The biggest advantage is that it supposedly does this from a 16" barrel. Compare to the Hornady 140gr SST Superformance load at 3090fps that is tested in a 24"...
LOL, those poor bastards. If anyone is keeping a 'Politicians that need to be made into examples' list (and I suspect there are), those two arrogant bitches just went to the top.
https://www.gunsamerica.com/digest/277-sig-fury-demystified/
If this lives up to everything claimed in the article, this will definitely be an interesting development and probably worth putting the money down for. 140gr @ 3000+ FPS in a carbine sized package? Don't mind if I do.
To a large extent, I believe that the DO believe they are benefiting humanity. It's just that their view on what's good for humanity is perverse. These guys will be dead before they see most of the results of these schemes. They think they can change the world and be remembered as heroes...
Negative. Only the DPMS Gen 2 can use some AR-15 free floats. It's all about the barrel nut really, but just look for DPMS 308 or AR-10 compatibility listed in the description or from the manufacturer somewhere.
There are also two different rail heights. Google it, find out what your receiver...
I think the Faxon pencil is one of the lightest 308 AR barrels out there.
You might want to look at a titanium carrier as well. I've heard jlbillet sells a decent one and I'm pretty sure VSeven has one too.
You want a light AR308, barrel and carrier are two great places to cut weight...
So refresh my memory... .125" vs .136" - that's the depth of the recess that the case head sits in? If that's is the case, shallower should be stronger.
I think the main strength of ARP's design is the radii at the root of the lugs (cross sectional view, cut perpendicular to bore axis), correct?
Volume - every tacticool idiot chases that latest heavily marketed caliber and the 6.8 has never had that kind of marketing push. Bear Creek used to sell a cheap one but they gained a poor reputation. They chose to put a 1/2-28 thread on it (which is a giant red flag on a .277" bore) and reports...
Any dealer that tries to tell you that the front takedown pin tab being broken off won't have any effect, is incredibly dishonest or incredibly incompetent.
This guy has no idea what he's talking about, plain and simple.
The U.S. military won't officially use the 6.8 SPC round and that's been known for a decade. It is still one of the better deer killers available in the AR-15 platform though. The only characteristic where it is between the 5.56...
20 years ago it wouldn't be unusual for me to see 50+ different deer on opening day. I haven't even seen half that this entire year and many were probably repeats. I know the one I shot, I'd seen before. Him and another yearling with forks so small I doubt you could legally use a buck tag on him...
My wife was making fun of me for how tiny mine looked in the back of the truck. It's been a long time since I've had to settle for a yearling buck.
I don't have data to back it up but from what I've been seeing with my own eyes, the populations both at home and where I hunt have been declining...
At 300 yards, drop on a 30-06 is about 8" vs about 19" for the .450. It also has higher SD and more energy at every distance. Unless you really want the challenge, I wouldn't give up all those quantifiable advantages for some amorphous 'brush busting' ability.
If you really wanted the AR-15...
I get why they want to hold onto it, but sorry Ruger - patents expire for a good reason. If, after 50 years, you can't build your product better, cheaper, and more efficiently than an American counterpart, tough.
Yeah, cause I'm gonna go on a crime spree with a muzzle loader... idiot.
It's just more money and hassle that tips the scale for me to 'not worth it'. Not to mention that it's bullshit infringement that pisses me off. Last I knew muzzle loaders were exempt from that shit. What's changed?
Can't say I've had that problem. My uppers are cracked up pretty bad and I doubt they're totally waterproof anymore but they were used when I got them 20 years ago.
If I'm doing any more walking than just into and out of a stand location, I'll wear something lighter.
I've used those for decades. The guys that introduced me to hunting had been using them for years before that. They're good - too good sometimes. Your feet sweat easily and being rubber, they don't dry out. I fire up the boot dryer after every hunt with them. But... even with damp feet, your...
Agreed - I think the gas key on the BCG might hit the back of the receiver if you try to use a carbine buffer in a rifle buffer tube without a spacer.
You could also take the weights out of the rifle buffer. Knock the roll pin out, take out the plastic tip and the weights should come right out...
Yep, I missed the fact that you're running an A2 stock with a carbine ported barrel. It's probably ported to run on a carbine buffer/spring/tube system.
Did you buy the rifle complete or just the upper?
The rifle buffer is about 2oz heavier than a standard carbine buffer. That may well be your...
Tough from pics but those don't look too bad. I see a few with scratches parallel to the bore but the rims look really good. No swipes or deformation on the head?
Gas system looks good so far. You can see a faint impression of the ring around the gas port in the pic where you're measuring it...
First, what does your brass look like? If it's frosted on the body and the head is all chewed up it may be an indication that the rifle is way OVER gassed. This means the bolt is trying to unlock and pull the case out before the pressure has dropped enough to let the case spring back off of the...
All of those mentioned above are good and I've done business with most. Midway USA pissed me off by making me return and reorder an item that had dropped significantly in price - a credit would've been much easier for both parties.
Anyway, Primary Arms has become one of my go-tos and they are...
The round you're talking about is the 6.8 SPC. It's a good round and rumors abound of it's use in spec ops, but it will never see widespread adoption in the US military. The new round is the same diameter bullet but a brand new cartridge. It's a huge step up in power over 5.56 and even 6.8 SPC -...
Wow, this is crazy. We'll make sure you regret having audacity to try to keep the Crown honest...
So has the hearing for damages on the original case taken place?
Also, looks like you have a typo in the paragraphs asking for damages: text says "one million dollars ($5,000,000)"
