Explain the “perfect time”? Is that like “the perfect time to replace a supreme court justice,” which is basically any time, using the method explained in the Constitution?
The relevent authorities found not one iota of doubt that his death wasn’t suspicious. Political musings of...
No, it won’t. A 5-4 solid majority will result in numerous conservative-leaning decisions, as it has with Kennedy on the court. Just because it hasn’t produced the decisions you want doesn’t mean the court isn’t siding with conservative values in other, very important cases.
For example, the...
Exactly. There “hasn’t” been an “investigation” because there WAS, it’s called an autopsy or whatever they call it in Texas and it was accepted by all relevant parties as having come to a valid determination. That conspiracy-minded individuals refuse to accept it is irrelevant.
Regardless...
Of course the parties want to manipulate the court, that’s no conspiracy and you’re not “woke” for “seeing” that.
What we have right now is the distinct reality of a solid conservative court on the horizon, with 2 really good chances for more seats. How this means nothing to you escapes me. I...
Police officers recieve extensive training on how to respond when off duty, mostly geared towards not getting shot by responding on-duty officers.
If you carry daily and have never trained for that aspect of an armed encounter, you’re worse off than those who go unarmed.
That article is all over the place. Really goes to show you how biased against the police this country has been ever since Obama ensured that part of his plan would succeed. I rarely leave the building anymore - by choice. Admin all the way!
Gorsuch replaced an already staunch Conservative pro-gun justice. His appointment changed nothing. It was only big because we “stole” that seat from Obama.
Replacing Kennedy is huge because he wasn’t always a reliable conservative vote. Replacing Breyer or RBG would be like Vesusvius blowing...
I haven't hunted with my 1895 yet. I definitely plan to this season. BUT, I also acquired an AR-10 that needs some blood on it so it will be a tough choice! Maybe the 1895 gets to take a pig next spring...
If Breyer and Ginsburg go while Trump is President (a second term would nearly assure both), there will 100% be some sort of open warfare in this country between leftists and basically anyone else.
I didn’t tattoo, “A coward dies a thousand deaths, A brave man only once” on my chest for shits and giggles.
Go ahead and wake the sleeping giant. I haven’t been playing this game all my life just for fun.
This is a good battle to have as it clearly is aimed squarely at law abiding citizens by design. Force them in court to justify such a move. With a boldly leftist scummer like Murphy, he may just admit that it’s intentional.
I’ll be 40 in October. Injuries are becoming more common for me as well. I pulled my hamstring in softball this weekend. It’s relatively okay now, but this week I’ve been jogging at a much slower pace instead of running.
Based on NJ case law, it looks to me like the move itself is already a moot point. He admits he consented, he only contests that it was temporary, which is ridiculous considering the child entered pre-K for the first time here in NJ and is recieving special services.
I think he understands...
This is in NJ. The divorce has been final for 2 years. There’s no mention at all of moving to NY in the divorce and the idiot wrote the whole thing so that’s now his problem. ;)
Dude I can’t express how many times I wanted to change the tone to more properly describe this asshole’s behavior towards his daughter. The fact that he doesn’t even know the name or location of her school, never calls to see how she is or just talk, does not ask about her soccer games even...
I completed a 5k last week in 23:22 seconds. That time was much faster than expected.
I’m noticing lately that my time required to complete 100 pushups has gone down significantly to under 4 minutes. This is performed at the end of my regualr chest workout.
I like to change up my routines...
The following is the Defendant’s answer to the Change Visitation Arrangements filed by the Plaintiff on June 11th, 2018.
Filed by Defendant:
1. Change Visitation Arrangements: The Plaintiff asserts that the original divorce decree does not make any mention of the status of the Defendant’s move...
I may do so if this works out well. Unfortunately there will be more motions for sure.
I think it’s too late for it to be worth trying to go to law school, but I have considered becoming a paralegal as a second career.
Exactly. The person I wrote for is representing herself because of disputes with her attorney and because her ex has been representing himself all along. She’s won every time with her attorney, but some recent issues (and the cost since her ex keeps filing motions) made her decide to try this...
I was recently asked to write two motions for a family court proceeding someone I know is involved in. Thankfully she ignored the old "cops aren't lawyers!" line and saved herself a ton of money asking me to write them instead of her previous, worthless, expensive attorney.
As part of my job in...
Any one individual. All that ruling really says is that the police can fail at their jobs, because failure is a real possibility in our line of work.
It’s touted as, “cops can choose to do nothing,” when that cannot be further from the truth. You example is good enough, just it thoroughly.
As would I, but as far as civil liability goes, these people probably don’t have a case.
People sue municipalities in situations like these because municipalities have lots of money, not because their claim is always rock solid.
Suing me would get you nothing, and I certainly won’t settle...
Of course I’d intervene with you. We probably wouldn’t even think about it. My point isn’t that he was correct to puss out, simply that he wasn’t acting in his capacity as a police officer unless they have a similar arrangement to what we have where off-duty, in uniform employment is sanctioned...
Unless they have a system where he wears the uniform off duty approved by the department, he wasn’t a cop at the time of the incident.
As to purely being off-duty, I’ve never seen a lawsuit where an off-duty cop was sued successfully for not intervening. Here the standard is “do something”...
What does a security guard have to do with law enforcement?
Aggrieved parties can certainly sue, likely from the angle that security lapses allowed this to happen. Where it will go is anyone’s guess.
