I'm unsure we will get a stay on carrying restrictions, but nearly certain that if we do it will get appealed immediately to allow the courts to decide, therefore letting the law go into effect. Remember, thier (our) unlimited resources means they can game this, and probably will, for as...
I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, but suddaby isn't the 2nd circuit. And I agree it will most likely be at the last minute. I would also add I expect an appeal and request for a stay immediately.
As said here so many times, it just proves that the most law enforcement doesn't receive enough training. I mean the guy at Wally world got 4 for 1. These guys you've shown? Only 1. That's why the IRS needed to purchase so much ammo lately. Defunding the police has led us to the shooting at...
Not to hijack the thread, but I advise many younger individuals of a simple fact.
Many in the trades are, according to labor statistics specifically in my field, age 55+.l, with noone behind filling the gap, know personally that nearly any trade, with oncoming retirements, with have a huge...
I would respectfully disagree. That stereotype, or any stereotype for that matter, holds prejudices against someones ability to think freely regardless of age. Entitled, maybe. Indoctrinated, highly likely, but boomer? I dunno.
Yet unfortunately, schmoes like @Jmac00 and I, and others I imagine, who took the trades route to AVOID college debt yet earn decent salaries, by default, are now encumbered by college debt.
No offense to anyone intended, but if you borrowed it, you pay for it. If the amount intended to be...
This. Politicians win elections by pandering to the whims of as many as possible. The intent of this, or frankly any gun law in NYS for that matter, is, I believe, to leave it as intentionally vague as possible to allow "myths " of its implementation to project far greater impact than the laws...
I wonder what will be required of those who have applied for a permit prior to September 1st. Is the date of approval of a permit the be all end all or the date of application?
Accidents happen he said. Accidental discharges? So professional that he can't admit it's a negligent discharge?
Geez. What the hell was he doing when when he supposedly checked the chamber?
Guess THIS guy is the one going to teach the CCIA classes.
They will offer body armor to all...
Just received an email from the county clerk stating current PP holders outside of NYC, Westchester, Nassau and Suffolk counties will not be required to take training. This was sent to the county clerk from the NYSDCJS. I would post, but it didn't work last time.
Personally the entirety of this coinciding parallel in timing with my subsequent application and approval of my PP has been one of the most up heaving roller coaster rides I've ever been on.
Applied for permit September 2021.
SCOTUS hears Bruen November. Planned release of ruling near perfectly...
I literally was laughing out loud.
"BETO-BETO-BETO".
This need to be in his oppositions political ad, along with him calling his opponent a mother fucker.
To take a quick aside, it also pays when carrying to realize that whomever you encounter may also be carrying. The opposite- you don't know who you are encountering.
Honestly, not once. Kept thinking to myself don't bring attention to it and noone will know. That and the holster was so damn comfortable I eventually forgot I had it on me.
I've read that the as PDP series is modular, so a compact frame with a 4.5 inch barrel or 5 inch barrel is possible. That said what walther considers compact I dont believe is truly compact. If on the fence I would rent one first, as I did. So far the only drawback I've encountered is its...
I agree. I've spent a lot of time going over scenarios in my head as to what would or should I do of this or that happens. Months of it. Walking away isn't always an option, but certainly seems to be the best option if you can. Old saying, " You win every fight you don't get into "
Edit-this...
As I was carrying I wondered a bit if someone saw I was carrying if they would just automatically believe I was an LEO, but lord knows what goes through people's minds today, if anything.
Some quick thoughts: )
Just received my Kore belt today. They are fantastic. I can see disposal of my old belt on the horizon. As to a knife, its beet 10 years I've been carrying one just for the simple reason they are supremely useful outside of defensive situations. I now often wonder for...
Regardless of why one served or for what reason ( drafted VS enlisted) all deserve the recognition. I for one have thanked many veterans long before it was fashionable as my father ( also in his 70's , I was born very early in his life) served in Vietnam, and my children have and do serve...
