That style expander works on the upstroke of the sizing process. As shown in the cutaway the expander will size the entire neck when it exits the case. Normally the expanded will be screwed tight to hold the depriming pin and the depriming pin should protrude about 3/16 below the die.

Many resizing dies have a depriming pin. Are you refrencing a seating die?

Testing revealed Wolf Gold Match Target 75gr does pretty good from my 1:8. Going to try PPU HPBT 75gr, many say it is the same as Wolf?
