All companies need to figure out that choosing sides politically is always going to come at a substantial cost. Despite the pressure brought to bear by the twitterverse, neutrality is almost always the right choice.
I agree he's irrelevant at this point, but you were the one who brought him up as some sort of weak deflection. Covid is on the rise, inflation is soaring, millions of jobs go unfilled, we just made ourselves look like idiots over Afghanistan, yeah, great choice there. But at least we don't have...
When your response to what you admit is a spectacular failure on the part of the guy you chose to vote for is "but, but, but, Trump," you don't really have anything to say. You voted for it, hope its working well for you.
No he did not "have" to use deadly force, he chose to. In doing so he distinguishes himself as the only person on either side of the events of that day that felt it necessary to discharge a firearm and kill someone. He has earned whatever negative karma may come his way.
By blaming the victim you excuse her killer. I agree she was in a place she probably should not have been, but I do not believe that behavior justified killing her.
Don’t care even a little about medals and trophies. Pretty sure the last award I received for marksmanship was in basic training 40 years ago. As
I said, it’s that’s your thing, you go. I shoot to maintain proficiency and for fun. I’m a minute of bad guy marksman, just like the army trained me...
Many don't care. No issues with it if that's your thing, but many aren't in it for medals and trophies. Some of us just like to maintain the ability to hit what we shoot at.
Let’s hope we get some relief from that nonsense from SCOTUS next term. You know NY isn’t going to repeal Sullivan to get the case tossed as moot. And it’s never been the guys with permits that were the problem.
The Gadsden flag has already been called out as a symbol of white supremacist hate, because people the lefties don't like have been known to fly it. Remember, in their worldview if you don't agree, you are the enemy and must be destroyed.
The shooter is, of course, responsible for what he did. That said, the wing nut was able to legally buy a firearm as a prohibited person because the AF failed to report his conviction and BCD. Seems to me they were negligent.
What exactly would be the purpose of the signs? It’s the people that live there that are the problem, not anyone coming from the outside. It’s not like we all don’t know where the bad parts of town are.
If you are thinking that the Taliban will see China as allies, you are incorrect. They will be seen as just another bunch of infidels that must be driven out. As the past 20 years have clearly shown, they will never, ever stop. I much prefer China bogs its military down in that quagmire than to...
Apparently Twitter was awash in posts from race baiters claiming that the only reason these fellows weren’t killed by the popo had to be because they were white.
Well, this could be an opportunity to get a court to rule on assigning fees to a constitutionally guaranteed right. Given what you have to pony up to get a pistol permit, a correct ruling on this could really shake things up.
Quite to the contrary, up through the Civil War field artillery was often the personal property of a member of an individual militia. Considering we really didn't have a standing army, who the eff else was going to provide it?
It's going to get very ugly for a lot of these people when the handouts end. And they will end, if only because we can't keep printing counterfeit money indefinitely.
Not at all surprising. In general, most can’t be bothered to vote in primaries, so only the activists turn out. Then the wing nut candidates get the nomination, and in a city like Buffalo, the “D” after your name ensures victory even if you do have Republicans running as well.
Or maybe, being lawyers themselves, they knew a misdemeanor plea was as good as it was going to get without tying them up in court for weeks/months, which would probably cost them a lot of money in lost work. I agree that they never should have been charged at all, but this is probably one of...
The plan is not to resell, but to lease. With so many priced out of the market, leasing/renting will be their only option. This will eliminate the most common method of wealth building for the average family, homeownership.
