Scope will be here Monday. I'm buying that low profile riser, but in 2 pieces. The 1 piece is 5.5" long, and I don't have that length on my upper without going onto the barrel/handguard. They have the same riser, but in 1.57" lengths instead, so that'll work. Anyone get/use those scope levels...

There's probably some low end stuff listed in the beginning here, but my advice would be to buy a camera and nvr (network video recorder) so you can view your cameras. You don't have to record, but the NVR gives you a place to manage it (tv, pc monitor) and you can set it up to record later. I...

Because overall, it's not a comfortable position. It's still a bit too low w/out the muffs on, I have to push down to get it without them on. When I first sight the gun, my cheek weld is comfortable and slightly higher than this. A half-inch riser should solve this

Roy, the last risers I had were UTG too, they did the same thing, I liked the simple look. So I mocked this up and then sent the scope back for the 5.56 that I really wanted all along. At least when the scope comes back available, I'll be ready to mount it

This is done. Exchanged back w/ the seller and will wait for PA to have the 5.56 back in stock again. They said not til May, lol. I can wait, I've waited this long I guess! I'll shoot irons until then, or work on my pistol, lol.

Got the mount in the mail today to test the setup, and it looks good. Lower is definitely better, but this is a hair too low. Without cans, I can crunch down on it, but I can't with them on. I was told not to worry about it w/ my old scope/mount setup, but that's why I am looking into a cantilever setup for this scope, so I can get it on the upper rail only.

I just sighted up my 308 and it's much lower than my AR, yet I can sight it just fine w/ my Razor's on. Yet when I sight my AR, the higher sight feels fine, I have no idea why. I also don't like how it looks that high, so possible that I can sight it lower and be ok. We'll find out tomorrow...

Working on the mounting...not finished. I thought the reticle was the 5.56 version with the ranging bits on it. Turns out, that's another $100. This one still illuminates and although the ranging would have been nice, this one will work for now. Maybe I'll upgrade later, who knows.
