The locked case must be locked by a non TSA lock. Only you should have the key/combination. I always run my cable around the handle framework inside the suitcase. You would have to pry open the case or break the frame of the suit case to get to the pistol that way. I expect the victims mentioned...

And no stainless does not parkerize. That is why you use stainless tanks to parkerize carbon steel parts.

Actually this stuff works really well on leather as it is mainly lanolin with a carrier. It also works well on protecting most stuff including metals. Hmmmm........might work nicely on gun parts and for lubing brass too ;)...

As long as the seal area is smooth you should be OK. The worst thing that could happen is the seal breaks and you have a bad can or two.

A little late but Have 2 of the American canners, the 30qt and the 41qt. They come in real handy when canning venison. As far as use if you are not getting pressure how much water did you put in before starting? 1-1.5 inch is probably plenty. Too much and it tales too long to heat the water...

Easy enough to parkerize it yourself. I bought the stuff from Brownells a long time ago and did in my kitchen.
