I’m torn on my choice for flashlight.. maglites are a solid light, decent output, 80hrs of runtime and could be used as a weapon if needed but obviously it’s on the larger side. If I was constantly on the move it probably wouldn’t be the best choice, probably would go with a reliable brand...

As for the ammo, I personally stick to factory loads from large manufacturers but just like anything else I guess if you find a reputable vendor for reman ammo (that you trust) you can save some cash.

Seems like both of them made some poor decisions. This is an example of what happens when you can’t keep your ego in check. Accidents happen, the rest of what insued could have been totally avoided if either person had the balls to de-escalate.
