Another vote for begara. Actually tossed around this year going with one of thier high end models. Might pull the trigger if they make one in 7mm-08. Although after seeing my brother take a few deer with his 300 prc I might be persuaded. (I know its WAY overkill for whitetail)
Where did you get the leg brackets? Where my stand is now we have talked about building something like this. Problem is it's behind about 2 dozen other projects.
After the shooting class last Saturday and seeing a few people running the nicer Sig's I'm starting to feel the itch for a new larping gun! I should just be buying more ammo though.
If you plan on dropping charges at the intended weight. I would also recommend a baffle in the powder throw. All the manufactures offer one. It's well worth the extra money.
Honestly I'm not a great pistol shot so maybe that's why it doesn't make a difference to me. But when I do work up rounds for pistol I shoot from sand bags. I can tell you +-0.1gr doesn't translate much on target for me. So I don't worry about the powder throw. Also once I have it dialed in I...
What have you been using?
I use a powder measure and charge a whole loading block at a time. 2 minutes at absolute most.

I will always verify at least one sample throw from each loading block on my beam scale. I would use a digital scale if I had...
Again I have bought into the G-Code system. Here's my front flap decked out. Still waiting on the vest and the plates to come in.
Here's a good video on the subject.
Big fan of the G-Code system. I like being able to change holster for different guns in a snap. Also the holsters are cheap once you buy into the RTI system. Couple that with the universal mag holders. You can switch from single stack to double stack magazines without doing anything.
I wanted to wait until I got behind a computer to write up a review, so here we go....
I wanted to start off saying thanks to Ben it was an amazing class and you will be seeing me again.
The weather for the class was windy and cold. Thanks @MikeyCNY for jinxing it. It was the first time this...
Well I did it. Loaded up 400 40 S&W. I ran out of 180gr X-treme RNFP bullets after after 100 or so. Then switch to 180gr RNFP Gallant coated bullets. I used the same powder charge, because it was a similar bullet profile, same weight and just below the mid range of charge weight. What I didn't...
Sounds like i need to give my lansky a shot again and my fathers work sharp again.
Any thoughts on the work sharp's take on the lansky?

I did like the look of this one. Looks like an upgraded Lansky.

Well it's been a long time coming....... I need to finally do my own knife sharpening. I had a good friend I would get together with a couple times a year and he would sharpen all my knives and I would get him drunk and feed him. Now that I have 3 kids and he has a new girlfriend we seem not to...
I've never been around the break action style but here are the modern version of the one my and my brother had. Definitely considering it now. Now to find a good indoor target for him to use in the winter time...
Well I'm still on the hunt. I can't find anything I can commit to. I'm stuck between a few different points.
BB gun or Airsoft? I like the safety aspect of airsoft. But Amazon doesn't appear to allow them shipped to NY?:fuac:
If I go with the airsoft it appears like I will have to either...
I placed the order 2 months ago with the ETA mid October. If I knew it would have been 6 months I would have spent the extra $50 and bought it from ebay and had it that same week.
A little frustrated on this topic. My carrier has been delayed a lot..... now February. Good new is the plates should be inbound in the next couple weeks.
I think your confusing what we are saying. No one is saying to give up. We are looking to win in a different fashion then you are. Personally I do not believe we can save America in fashion we deem acceptable. So because of this I'm preparing myself to win in the collapse, at least as much as...
I do not confuse the two, but that is the optic for the other side. I think these weakens our appeal to the middle of the road people. Probably more importantly it makes it hard to appeal to younger adults. They feed on the high energy and emotion.
I'm pretty young (37) and I have yet to see...
I'm not the best with typed words but I'll take a shot at it. I don't think we can right the ship for two basic reasons.
1. Our personal philosophy. Most conservatives, republican's and libertarians believe their philosophies are correct. Now this is where we differ from the other side...
I had an older version of this one. I can't remember how hard it was to pump.

Well I think the time has come to buy my oldest his first gun. He will be 5 1/2 on Christmas and has shown some interest in guns and shooting. I'm not sure if he's mature enough to grasp ramifications of misuse so it will be locked up in the safe and only used under my close supervision. With...
I voted in Morrisville today. I can tell you I've never seen so many people out this early in the morning. I really don't know if this is good or bad for Trump. Bye the time I left the line had grown to twice the size than when I showed up.
