Thanks for the donations, guys! Perfect timing as I purchased updated software and upgrades for the server to help fix this issue!
Has anyone experienced any issues since I started working on it today?
Noooo thats not what the message was meant to say! More so that we have been battling this stupid problem for a while and it's been kicking our ass, so we don't know when it will be fixed. But I'm fixing it right now, spending the day on it.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. As long as...
Issue resolved!! (I hope). Should be all set on Saturday's now. Backups were running Saturday morning (despite showing Sunday night) which was slowing down the site. Now they run Monday at 3AM. Sorry about all that.
Like new, Kimber KS6 revolver. Purchased directly from Kimber, made in Yonkers, NY with MSRP of $1,284. Based on the world’s lightest production 6-shot .357 Magnum revolver platform, the DC (Deep Cover) features superior ergonomics, smooth match-grade trigger, black DLC finish, G10 grips and...
Maannn, thank you guys for the donations! It is literally going toward improving and updating the site as we speak! @HEX and I are going to be updating the forum software, theme, add-ons, php versions, etc. soon. Going to take a backup of everything first in case we f-it up, which is highly...
I think it's probably time to update all the software and everything involved. @HEX, let's do it. I'll purchase a renewal for the forum software right now.
Honestly, I love their gear. IMO, Ubiquiti makes the best P2P's, AP's, firewalls, switches, etc. Their cameras are decent enough, but are a bit too overpriced and underwhelming for me to consider on a professional level. As far as residential, there are def less expensive and "better" cameras...
I have one and tbh I thought it would suck, but it's amazing. It's ridiculously light, almost feels like it's not real. It's accurate and I have put some cheap ammo through it with 0 hiccups so far. I recommend it.
These cameras are awesome. You know you can get them / everything else cheaper from here - 4MP Extreme Low Light IP w/ LED | IP Cam Talk Store
Blue Iris crushes Synology. I have used Synology and it's okay, but not nearly as good as BI. What is wrong with your BI? Want me to remote into your...
I updated the first post a bit to reflect some newer hardware, etc. Right now I am recommending to everyone who wants to build a good system, to use this "Build a System" link. 4MP cameras (your choice of dome, turret or bullet), either an NVR or Blue Iris, wiring, etc.
I am using this solar trickle charger - https://amzn.to/3f3iN8Y

@cgrutt is one talented dude!! I've also never seen anyone work as clean, zero mess every day.
Also was nice to see @kev74 and @alistair, thanks to both of you for stopping by!
I would go with Hikvision's bell - Wi-Fi Video Doorbell Camera W/ 2 Way Audio, ONVIF Compliant, PIR Motion Sensor, Night Vision, 16GB SD Card Pre-Installed, Includes 3 Face Plates | IP Cam Talk
It also has an rtsp feed that you can record on Blue Iris.
