FWIW, I have heard of people writing to the judge, if the judge is sitting on it, explain anything on their record, how they've grown, etc. and it helping with the process. Your miles may vary though.
You can also always report it to FPC or any of those firearms advocacy groups as well to...
Just got mine in the mail, 6 months exactly after the date of submission. I am going to venture a guess that judges signing in DC are waiting out the full period allowed by NY state law, at a minimum.

Bro you have priors or something? 2 years is bananas and I have read of many other folks on the internets whom have received theirs within 8 months, some as quickly as 6 (pathetic lol).
You should maybe get an attorney involved re: the 6 months to approve/deny. Keeping you in limbo is fucked up.
