I doubt the Dems really want this to happen. After all, if teachers actually become comfortable with firearms, suppose they take an interest beyond their duties. Suppose students start to realize that not every gun should be treated like a hunk of radioactive material. Suppose they develop an interest in safe target shooting and hunting sports? Holy fuck!! Awesome point. And to add, what if it works as intended and school shootings become a thing of the past or at least the harm inflicted greatly decreases?

The dems would likely ignore all this anyways. We have a record number of guns and ammo in the us and gun crime has been declining overall.

I'm seeing teachers I know post left and right on facebook about how they don't want to be armed...it'll just encourage more killing. My days of being a Facebook warrior are over but I'd like to post "so you'd rather cower and hide in your classroom and be slaughtered instead of having a fighting chance?
