True, All of my S&W magnums except for one have the full under lug. It does help to tame the full power magnum loads. I have a 6” full under lug model 586 in .357 and it tames it to the point that it feels like hot .38’s.
A revolver don't look right unless it has a full underlug IMO.
That's why I like the Stealth Hunter so much, that big, huge, beefy shroud makes the thing look like RoboCop's alternate weapon.
Also why I continually put up with my L-Comp's repeated failings, its just such a freakin' COOL looking gun!
180 rounds I out through it lady weekend BTW. With the leftover 80 Armscor I had 4 failures to fire, none with the 100 PPUs. Probably not gonna buy anymore Armscor.
