He knew the end result in advance...preparedGood thing he wore a helmet.
Don't need more than that, just has to get close and it'd suck the eyeballs right outa yo head!Looks like it would have about an inch or 2 of rifling![]()
Just enough to be legally a pistol LOL.Looks like it would have about an inch or 2 of rifling![]()
It probably knocked some sense into him.Good thing he wore a helmet.
It's a toy.No thanks. No point in this gun. I’m glad he did it as it was fun to watch but outside of that it’s not a range gun, not a hunting gun, and not a self defense gun. It’s pointless other than to say hey look what I did, and I can appreciate it for that and that alone.
I think a short Strap secured to the fore-grip would go a long ways on muzzle flip...I have/had some massive handguns (.500, .480, .454 .45WM .445 etc.) and used to shoot 'em regularly but not so much anymore. It's a toy.
I have some guns that also fall into that category.
I can't complain about a .50bmg pistol when I have a 5.56 pistol with a 7.5" barrel. Neither of them have a practical use other than bringing a smile to your face when you pull the trigger.
I've never fired a .50bmg pistol, but from what I know about the interior ballistics, I'll not sure it *would* have massive recoil.I think a short Strap secured to the fore-grip would go a long ways on muzzle flip...I have/had some massive handguns (.500, .480, .454 .45WM .445 etc.) and used to shoot 'em regularly but not so much anymore.
I had a Colt XM-177 (11" barrel and 5" flash hider) and it was brutal on your ears even with hearing protection...I've got a 7-1/2' AR Pistol in .300blk and that's not too bad, I built one in 12.7x42 that I haven't shot yet...should be interesting.
Couple weeks back we were out shooting the Armalite AR-50 with a 30" Barrel: between the huge Brake and the ~35 pounds of heft, it's not bad to shoot, but the concussion was shaking snow off the metal roof...I'd imaging flash-bangs having less concussion than that Pistol.
What might be overlooked is case expansion: nit-wits have videoed themselves wrapping tape around a .50BMG Cartridge then inserting, and firing in a single-shot 12 gauge: on ignition, the case expands and forms to the shape of the Chamber, dumping so much gas that the bullet is literally pooped out the barrel as there isn't any significant restriction on the bullet with pressure building behind it, and in the case of that Pistol; the slow burning powder really wouldn't have time to properly combust...on a slight tangent of useless information: "Blank" .50BMG's are loaded with 700X :Hi-Skor Shotshell/pistol powder which is mighty fast burning, around 50 grains of it if I recall.I've never fired a .50bmg pistol, but from what I know about the interior ballistics, I'll not sure it *would* have massive recoil.
More than a 9mm for sure, but might not be too much worse than a .44mag.
It would be a very heavy pistol, no doubt about that. That would help with the recoil.
And an extremely underwhelming muzzle velocity due to the extremely slow burning powder mostly burning outside the barrel.
Physics doesn't lie, so actual recoil energy and momentum are directly derived from the ratio of the weight of the projectile/power to the gun, and the energy/momentum of the projectile.
A .50bmg projectile is about the weight of a 12ga slug, but with *much* slower burning powder. So it should have a much lower muzzle velocity out of such a short barrel.
I bet that pistol feels about the same as shooting a Shockwave.
That’s a little more practical IMO. You can leave that in your bedroom for self defense and do accuracy tests with it. With the recoil on that bad boy that’s a 1-2 shot pistol and likely won’t be accurate. It's a toy.

I'd take the Ar pistol over nothing for self defense, but I've literally got a dozen or more better choices. Probably anyone with a toy like that does too. That’s a little more practical IMO. I get it and it’s kind of like tannerite, it’s just fine but this one seems farther than that.
