Even with a clear victory at the supreme Court the city is doing everything it can to prevent people from getting a permit.

Does the Supreme Court have the authority to call for the arrest of someone? Specifically someone who deliberately defies a S.C. ruling?

The problem here is the same as regular crime. There are no penalties for disobeying, no penalties for breaking the law, and no penalties for violating the Constitution.

SCOTUS has DELAYED pro gun decisions due to primal fear of an armed left....................ghost guns would have been the lefts best weapon. Lifting of AWB's is delayed for the same reason.

It’s not unconstitutional until a court says it is. And unfortunately no court — including the Supremes — seems to want to say that.

They could issue an arrest warrant.

Or at least order another federal court to issue one.

It would absolutely be appropriate to charge the NYPD officials with contempt.
