A proposal to increase the fees charged to pistol licenses holders is being floated in Westchester.

The next scheduled meeting of the County Board of Legislators is September 16 @ 7:00pm.

This fee schedule is wrong. It says it includes the fingerprint fee for Erie county at $20 and it does not. My son is taking the class soon and it’s $350 to be able to apply, $20 to apply, then $140 for fingerprints, and $10 for the photo. So they are $500-$600 off since $350 for the permit class is cheap.

I wish I could attend the meeting as ask, "Although the fee for exercising a right should be unconstitutional, can we expect eight times the service for the eight times price hike? Will amendments be processed eight times faster? Will licenses be valid eight times longer?"
