Both are retiring from the NEW YORKISTAN legislature. Joe strongly hinted, that Republican's in this state can't get anything done with a democratic majority. The left, simply will not allow conservatives any 'wins' for their constituents. I think it's a case of "its our ball, our ball field, our rules, if you don't like it LEAVE" Both are frustrated at how NYC controls the entire state.

Basically, they both are sick of the crap out of Albany and NY city. I think this is a EXTREMELY STRONG INDICATION that Conservatives should (must) abandon the state. Our freedoms are being eroded on a daily basis, with no end in sight.

This Governor does what he wants, when he wants, because the legislature will back him without question or objection.

The people of Rochester and western NY have lost the only voice we had.

WE ARE DONE as a state.

So Cuomo is a dictator basically? I just hope people wake up. I’ve got 24 years before o can get my pension. I should have left a few years ago but the kids didn’t want to. My oldest had trouble moving down the street so I couldn’t do it to him. So I suffer

Cuomo is a petit dictator. Everything he wants, happens because the Legislature will rubber stamp it. Everything the Legislature wants, it gets, because Cuomo will rubber stamp it. The vast majority of NY State is without representation. This is not going to improve, folks. Stand and fight, as with VA right now, would have been an option at some point in the state's history, but this isn't it. This is now at the level of the Titanic...and I have no inclination of joining the band.

I think, when the frustration level starts to impact the elected officials, that signals a steep, unrecoverable decline. when the "leaders" of the state have no desire to help the ENTIRE state, but would rather focus on just 300 sq miles, that is a clear indication the leadership simply doesn't care about anyone else

It’s not just Funke and Robach. There are no less than 8 GOP state senators who have announced they’re not running again. Flanagan was interviewed last week, and he basically shrugged.

Ranzenhofer, said he will serve out the remainder of his current two-year term, which runs through next year, before vacating his seat.

Ranzenhofer represents part of Erie County, part of Monroe County and all of Genesee County.
