I really think most of these industrial accidents are due to the high turnover of low skilled labor the last few years.
At our place, it takes us nearly twice as many people (at a much higher wage) to run things worse than we did a 3-4 years ago. Constantly bringing new people through is not good. Injuries are up, equipment failures are up, costs are way way up, and most of these idiots don't know which way is up. I would give my left nut to go back to the way we were operating a few years ago.
Agreed, the same is true in my field and my department. Too many good officers leaving and being replaced by weak, weak people with no work ethic.
