No details at this time, but there was a dispatch for Sheriff cars there at 6am, and place was reportedly boarded up by afternoon.

Looks like someone beat the NYSP BGC deadline. Hope the shop was well insured and the dirtbags who perpetrated this crime suffer mercilessly. Gently, of course, and without having to cough up an egregious amount of bail money. I’m not heartless.

I read that a place called Mancave Firearms (near Fulton I think) is considering closing after two break-ins.
I also see that Utica Firearms is closing up shop for reasons unknown to me. But he is having a clearance sale all this week. I hate to see him go. He's always had a nice turnover of used old Remington and jm stamped Marlins.

Unfortunately this is exactly what our commie lib politicians are praying will happen.

Caliber Plus (Mannsville) is having a clearance sale as well.
I'll have to check Van Tassel's (Evans Mills) to see what they're doing.
PX on Ft, Drum isn't selling Handguns or Ammunition at this time, Rifle & Shotguns are still a go 3 days a week.

It's actually working to perfection.

This is likely related. A group of kids stole 21 guns, ammo from two Central NY gun shops, sheriff says
Likely so. Tim’s is the only gun shop that I know of in Elbridge.

Last year we lost Bob Cateldo's gun shop in Lyons Falls. I bought a few from him over the years . I'd intentionally take the backroads to camp to pay him a visit. He truly worked till he died in his 90's I think.

They hit Mancave arms twice within 2 days!
I wish that I had the time to drive out there.
I haven’t been to Van Tassel’s in years. I used to stop there often when I was doing service work at Ft. Drum .

I loved Cataldo's. Oddest place..you walk in and there were appliances and shit all over. Bought a lot of old WW2 bolt guns from him.
It's hard to get everything into a stolen kia, so a second trip was in order.

I drove thru Eldridge/Jordan a number of times Not much there ,
We bought most of the guns and all the ammunition left from his Daughter; there were some handguns and some of Bob's as well, but we just couldn't come to terms for them.

If the state doesn't revoke their semi-auto purchase permits after this one, I'm gonna be pissed.
It just shows that if we had a manditory 3 day waiting period, those thugs would have been stuck waiting in the store and the cops would have been able to grab them. COMMON SENSE GUN LAWS NOW!!!!
The state is messing with people’s livelihood. I wish the places that have decided to close or are considering it would reconsider. This is exactly what they hope for and it needs to be met with resistance and resilience. If the FFL’s don’t make a stand and refuse to shutter their businesses because of this garbage how do we even stand a chance to fight it ?

I heard about the break-in at Tim's a couple of days ago, x-wife told me about it. I bought a house in late May about 2 miles east of Tim's and wasn't aware Tim's or any gun shop was that close by. Sux because last week I went to Runnings and bought a bunch of 380. Had I known about Tim's I would have bought there instead, give the business to someone local. I wish him well and hope he keeps the doors open.
