I read an excerpt from the Law covering ammunition BGC's and it clearly said that if the system was down, in-operable, or it wasn't possible to conduct a check because an internet connection couldn't be made that a Check was not required.... I'll have to find and link it up.

I've read so many Posts, Lawsuits, Proposed and Passed Legislation, then on top of that the Rules the NYSP made to implement the Laws...honestly it's a wonder that I don't drink.

Chiming in to say that I bought ammo yesterday for the first time this crap went into effect. The store clerk told me to brace myself for delays. As luck would have it it went right through with no issues. Everyone at th counter who was waiting for theirs was jealous. Told me to go buy a lotto ticket. Stopped and got a Power Ball on the way home.
And no, I did not win that sadly. Though close to a billion dollars might be able to fund the lawsuit for a few years.
