Gov. Hochul, NY’s biggest climate-change booster, has spent $415K on private jets: ‘It’s very wasteful’

Gov. Hochul — who recently approved a controversial law that will force oil, natural-gas and coal companies to pony up $75 billion for carbon emissions allegedly contributing to global warming — has taken at least 30 flights aboard private jets since 2021, state Board of Elections records show.
The $415,000 tab was picked up by her campaign committee, records show.
“It’s very wasteful, especially for an elected official. There is no reason why any elected official in New York should be taking a private jet. Nearly everywhere in New York or upstate has a [commercial] airport that will take you anywhere in the country. New York is one of the most well-connected places on the planet,” said a local pilot experienced in private aviation.

She’s taking a tough line of fossil fuels — except the ones she’s spewing.

She's a power hungry (unt that's sure she's the supreme being in the State and her presence demands the most elegant form of conveyance for which no expense shall be spared. Democrats and their duplicity...tell me I'm wrong?

What are the people going to do about this issue?

Rhetoric question, of course. The people will do nothing. Nothing at all.

I`ve waited almost 70yrs, for people to listen, pay attention, and fight these elites, before they took over our country.

You`re exactly 100% correct @GOPerfect .... "The people will do nothing. Nothing at all."

The future children will never know the rights & freedoms, they COULD OF had, had WE not been dumb & lazy.

You insult witches with this statement.
No self-respecting witch would ever consider allowing heil hochul to join their ranks. Not even the modern day versions of witches.

heil hochul herself wouldn't want to join the witch society. their Threefold Law would have her spontaneously combusting within seconds!

What can they do?
Outnumbered by socialists, out technologied by Dominion, the people really only have two options. one is leaving (and the idea of having to flee your home due to tyranny is sick!) and the other can't be mentioned in polite society.

I'm going to vote even harder next time!!!!

In reality, I'm 7 years from a low level local government bureaucrat pension. I make almost enough money to support my family, and get more vacation time than I've ever gotten before.

Most of family is still here. I'll likely stick it out, continuing to subvert the establishment at every opportunity, pissing into the wind supporting political candidates who are less likely to f*** me over, and voting accordingly.

If I'm lucky, I'll be able to retire and cash out before NY turns into South Africa, with 'entitled' foreigners and minorities killing the landowners.

Not always about leaving. I waited until I had secured the bulk of my State funded pension as well. Waited until the market was at its peak prior to selling the house and the property/cabin.

All of these unhappy people in NY, and other shithole States, that do nothing to real in the elected "class".

So much can be done.....

Despite the constant oppression by my government, on the whole I'm pretty happy here. My family is here. I like my house, I have a good network of friends here. I've traveled a bit and think I live in the most beautiful part of this country.

My biggest frustration is with the waste of resources. For what we pay in taxes, I shouldn't be wrecking my car every spring and summer on potholes. .gov shouldn't be hitting us up for ever increasing fees, taxes and tolls every time we want to travel, drive a car, buy a gun, renew a license, build a shed, and everything else the put their hands in our pockets for. We should have nice parks, nice schools, etc. instead they cater to lowlifes who refuse to contribute to society, illegals who leach off the system, and special interests who give the best kickbacks.

I hear you.

I was not "unhappy" up there. I loved my job, I really did. Loved what I did.

Due to my jobs, the 2A restrictions meant nothing to me. I was making some seriously awesome money, house was nearly paid for. Land and the cabin were paid in cash for. No debt at all.

I had a great network as well, friends, family and everyday connections.

The over governance had really gotten he better of me. Seeing the failure of the judicial system, first hand was a big issue for me; the rise in all of the bad and the decrease of all that is good.
