First of all, by removing EV Incentives Trump stabbed Elon in the back. Not cool.
EV's may not be ready for Prime Time, but if Trump can get Nuclear rolling again, electricity will be cheap and plentiful. And honestly, my 2018 Nissan Leaf EV I bought used, is a dream come true. Pretty much zero maintenance. And I just plug it, in my driveway, and I'm good.
Forcing EV's is wrong. But no one forced me. It made total sense for this retired person.
In time, with nuclear, and improved technology, pretty much everyone will drive an EV. By choice.
And not to "Save the Planet". F the Planet. It's a rock. Not a God.

Ending the EV incentives is not new. Elon knew that was coming last summer. Trump made no secrets about it.
And Elon was cool with it. It might cut his sales a little, but it might not, it would hurt his competitors much much more.
I think EVs are ready for prime time now. They're not right for everyone for every situation, but certainly the infrastructure is there now that they make sense for a ton of people.
They're fantastic for anyone who can install a charger at home. We very rarely charge anywhere else. Like maybe 3-4 times in the year we've had the car, and my place is *not* urban by any stretch. We still have other vehicles, gas and diesel if we need them, but the fact is 99% of our driving is the Tesla now.

If you like your EV you should pay for it then and not my tax money. If they are so great and everything they say then why do they need to pay people and provide tons of incentives to buy one. Most auto manufacturers are ramping up production of V-8’s GM just out a billion into it and Dodge is bringing theirs out of partial retirement.
Incentives should end and have been around too long.
