Never had faith in any political figure.
And whether or not I trust them, they are not here to protect me or better my life.
Whether or not I'm my own best friend, security, and salvation is moot. The government can, and will, happily incarcerate or kill me if they wanted to. So it behooves us to try to place a government that has even a little compassion for the people they are supposed to govern.

When both "sides" lie, when both "sides" care more about themselves than they do The People, what can be done? Trusting or not trusting these liars doesn't even come into the equation, and doesn't change the level of disappointment at all.

Thank you...
But, in this time where even the slightest hint that you would advocate for violence against the corrupt lands you in prison or shot, I tend to stress the lawful remedies that are (supposedly) available to us.

I heartily believe our Founding Fathers would have been dumping tea and decorating trees by now.

The founding fathers heartily disagreed with your second sentence, thankfully. Whether or not We, The People, have allowed political skunks to stink up this nation with their self-serving greed and filth, it was never the intention to allow them that much influence when this nation was founded. They were intended to represent The People, to provide for the general safety and welfare of the nation, to protect our individual rights, not to rule over the citizens.

REVEALED: WSJ ‘Reporter’ Who Wrote Epstein Hit Piece on President Trump Has a Connection to Founder of Fusion GPS, Which Was Funded by Hillary and the DNC to Produce the Russia Hoax

The ‘reporter’ behind the disgusting smear piece produced by one of America’s leading newspapers has a connection to one of the greatest scandals in American political history.

The paper alleged Trump wrote Epstein a “bawdy” letter for his 50th birthday depicting a naked woman. Ghislaine Maxwell allegedly prepared a ‘special gift’ and collected letters from Trump and others.
Now, Real Clear Politics National Political Correspondent Susan Crabtree has uncovered a damning connection between the reporter who wrote the hit piece, Joe Palazzolo, and Fusion GPS, which Crooked Hillary Clinton and the DNC funded.
Palazzolo previously worked as a reporter for Main Justice, Glenn Simpson’s wife’s publication. As we all know, Glenn Simpson founded Fusion GPS, which produced the Steele Dossier.

“SCAM, perpetuated by the Democrats”????

I can’t stop laughing. More lies. Who campaigned hard about releasing the Epstein files, arresting pedos and full transparency? Oh, right. That was Biden. No, Harris. The Dems. Riiiiiiiiiight….

Now we can’t have the pedo files because “they’re tied up in court” just like his tax returns before his first election were “under audit” so he couldn’t share them, yet everything he had at Mar-a-Lago was not actually classified because he was the President so he could have whatever files he wanted?

It just don’t add up, son. We done been had. Again.

Friday on MSNBC’s “Deadline,” Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) claimed President Donald Trump was not going to get away with “hiding” the Jeffrey Epstein files
Van Hollen said, “The Trump administration has made everybody wonder what it is they’re trying to hide. Whenever they say they’re going to release a little bit, you remember Pam Bondi and the binders, the folders, she promised more after that, the more they evade these answers, the more people understandably, legitimately believe there’s a lot more that they’re hiding.”

One reason why they want the files released now is to flood the airways with this story when trump wanted the story to be about the liberals destroying his presidential runs..... With made up stories

"A Treasonous Conspiracy" - DNI Gabbard Exposes Obama At Center Of Trump 'Russia Hoax'

Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, has declassified documents revealing "overwhelming evidence" showing how then-President Barack Obama and his national security team laid the groundwork for what would become the years-long Trump-Russia collusion investigation after President Trump won the 2016 election.

If they really had "overwhelming evidence" then Obama should have been in cuffs this morning.
Instead it's just more noise in the airwaves. More accusations that We The People have not seen the evidence of.
And STILL no damned arrests!

Until I see a perp walk I'm going on the assumption that they are lying, just like the other side does.

Both sides play us. Both sides have their own evil shit that they get away with. Why else would they try to take away all of our weapons. Why else has the SCOTUS not stood up for our 2nd amendment. They throw a little crumb once in awhile to keep us tamped down and happy while we wait for the next phucking crumb to fall. Will the people ever rise up? Nope, not in our lifetime. We`ve allowed them to destroy us with technology and gadgetry`s. Until the people stop feeding the beast, its just gonna be the same shit until.... well, you know, the thing.

People are not going to rise up... We have one of the best standards of living in the world.... One only has to travel the world just even a little bit to see how well off we are. Sure there is some dissatisfaction in certain segments of our population ... But not enough to up rise .

"They". Always with the "they". We talk about the gov in terms of "they". As if everything is a conspiracy (and I like conspiracies really). As if they have a collective consciousness that all are in on and breeds nothing but conspiracy and distraction to advance the next conspiracy..oh but wait, this one MUST be a distraction for the next conspiracy...rinse, repeat. When does it ever stop?

If there is a collective consciousness, then it lives and breathes within the Deep State of unelected bureaucrats whose careers span terms and administrations of elected officials. Therein lays the continuity of orchestration. It is they that play both sides against us. They are the coin of which there are two sides and they don't care if it comes up heads or tails - the coin is theirs, they control it. The elected class are often unwitting pawns, or useful idiots. Some are well connected to the DS and knowingly collaborate for their own political success or survival or that of their party. Many have been compromised to make it so. By things like Epstein.

How could Schumer make a statement the IC can "go after Trump 6 ways from Sunday" and somehow be OK with accepting it and not want to join Trump in destroying it? How can a duly elected official of either party be OK having that much power and influence held over them? He tacitly acknowledges the Deep State, content with his own weakness to toe their line. Maybe just another one of the compromised. It's a big Fuck You from the DS to them and all those who elected them.

Hold Trump's feet to the fire, but realize he is not the all powerful Oz. He is not the most powerful man in the world in light of all that has happened to him. He is the most powerful figurehead in the world trying to be the most powerful man by getting after those behind the curtain. For whatever reason, he did not heed the JFK memo. At first neither did Reagan until he got shot. Trump to the contrary still ignores the warning he was given in Butler. At least it seems that way.

We get into this mindset where we are too quick to throw the baby out with the bathwater. I know things can't happen quick enough for some, but I think the last 6 months have displayed the strongest push against the deep state bureaucracy I've ever seen in my lifetime. I'm just afraid we've been beaten so much we won't recognize a win should it happen and turn it into another beating. Interesting times we live in.
