Every gun owner should be aware that

czusafirearms

is currently assisting the Canadian government in a plan to destroy privately owned firearms confiscated from their citizens as a result of their new gun bans.

Companies owned by CZ:

Colt

CZ

CZ-USA

Dan Wesson

Colt Canada

4M Systems

Spuhr

Sellier & Bellot

This is what happens when you put your trust into military industrial complex companies who don’t actually give a shit about your individual right to bear arms. You get a foreign company participating in the destruction of freedom in a country they have no allegiance to, and with nobody to hold them accountable.

Just spent the last hour doing some internet snooping on this . It seems there is some serious validity to this situation. From what I’ve read CZ is participating with this through their Colt Canada subsidiary.
A few 2A organizations have reached out to CZ for comment but got nothing but radio silence so far.

Glock wants more gun laws, CZ wants to destroy guns takin away from their owners. Ruger went against us years ago with the mags. Doesn`t seem like any gun companies are helping us, yet we keep giving them our hard earned money. Sure don`t smell like much of any winning for us, to me.

If all, or most, of the gun companies are doing something we don't like, what other option do we have to acquire our firearms?
Should we just do without having any guns at all?

Maybe gun owners should get together and purchase one of these bad actors. Then we can dictate what they do.

Just business. Why would a company that sells new guns want less used guns in existence?

Cz doesn't make any money if a used firearm is resold. If they can reduce the number of used firearms potentially available that's more new sales. Getting paid to make that happen by doing the destruction is even better for them.

The ban will fail.

About the very best thing that can happen to Canada...........a silent insurrection and likely a few unpleasant moments. Muslims will likely not give up their guns there, or the illegals or many others.

Many missing and stolen guns will be the "find".

Trump may plan to invade, and free Canada by force,in 2027.

I did a decent amount of searching as well prior to posting. Kind of disgusting

From what I've gathered from the call for Alberta to succeed from Canada, Eastern Canada is very socialist/progressive/liberal and requires equal distribution between Providences that do well for themselves with those (Eastern Canada) in a very dis-proportionally way,
The Canadian Government passed the Laws and confiscated the guns and likely don't know exactly WTF to do with them, and it's highly doubtful they'll ever be returned so they're contracting it out.
Even in NY, surrendered/confiscated guns can be sold to Companies licensed and bonded to stripped down and the parts, destroy the receiver, and sell off the Parts. Century Arms is such a Company, and has done just that in very recent times...It's possible I suppose that CZ might be doing the same thing, or maybe just scrapping them out, and much as I hate to see a good tool arbitrarily destroyed, more are made every day.
Canadians fucked themselves, and it's up to them to fix it, but given the communist propensities of Ontario and Quebec, it's probably not going to happen either.

Canada may have "banned" hundreds of types of firearms, but they certainly aren't collecting them from anyone. The Provincial police in the vast majority ( if not all ) of the provinces have all said something to the effect of "We're busy doing our own work. Collecting guns is work for the RCMP. Don't bother us anymore about it." Some provinces have said "Screw this ban. We're not participating." Meanwhile, the RCMP is saying "There's too few of us to do this alone" and without saying it aloud, they mean "We don't want to die on Gordy's front porch when we ask him for his M1A." The gov't has approved "compensation" for turning in the now banned guns, but they have yet to set a price. Nobody is turning in anything.

A bit more than a decade ago, the Canadian gov't got the brilliant idea to register ALL the guns in the country. They spent tens of millions of dollars before the plan was finally deemed a gigantic failure and was scrapped.

This too will be a giant boondoggle and eventually be scrapped. The average Canadian isn't giving up anything without REAL force being used against them, especially in the western and northern provinces. Ontario and Quebec might capitulate to an extent, but you can bet those in NWT, Alberta, Saskatchewan and the like aren't going to play nice when two mounties show up to the front door of a house that doesn't have a neighbor within earshot.

Colt Canada might have the contract to destroy whatever is taken in, but I wouldn't expect that number to amount to much.
