I was all set to fire off an "achtshually"It's an interesting cartridge, one H&R came up with to save their Bacon, but it wasn't enough...Federal made their .327 Magnum (even longer than the .32H&R) but again, it just didn't fly even though it's an excellent cartridge for more diminutive shooters.... There's the .32 S&W Short, .32 S&W long, .32 H&R Mag, and .327 Federal. Ruger chambered their Single Six/Blackhawk's in the H&R and the Cowboy Action guys love it...The ".30 Super" (another one hit wonder) is ballistically equal to the H&R.
Something we've noticed with .32 Rifles: they'll either shoot very well or like shit...never any middle ground, so keep that in mind when you find a Winchester '94 in .32WS at a great price...not really a "dead cartridge" but certainly the 16 gauge of the Centerfire World.
