This puke wagons inauguration is coming up. I can’t stand to watch it. I wonder if he will swear on the Koran or pull some other tasteless crap stunt.

Not just one Quran but three of them.

AI Overview

Yes, New York City's incoming mayor
Zohran Mamdani will be sworn in on a Quran, marking a historic first for the city.
Mamdani, who will be the first Muslim, first South Asian, and first African-born person to hold the position, is using the Quran for his oath of office to highlight the city's diverse Muslim population.

For the ceremonies, Mamdani will use three Qurans: one belonging to his grandfather, another to his grandmother, and a pocket-sized version from the New York Public Library's Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture. While many previous mayors used a Bible, the oath does not mandate a religious text. The choice has received both support and criticism.

It's like 9-11 is already a distant memory.

Raises all sorts of questions. How many non profits are there that can purchase these properties? What does this tell us about his plan to increase the number of non-profits and manage the city through them?

I predict a massive increase in the number of "non profits" that will rent these out to other companies (with coincidentally very similar senior leadership) at cost.

Sort of like how many businesses became "women owned" overnight when they pushed that BS.

This all makes me sick. I’m not totally against people from this community but I can tell you I deal with them professionally and they are the dirtiest group of people I have ever come across. Tons of issues with them, then they ignore, then they try to get out of it, then they put their wives names on the business, then they try to bribe. My wife wanted to go to one of their restaurants and I said no way never. They never have soap in the bathroom.

What I have learned about non profits is they are against profits and they make a healthy profits it’s just at the end of the year they spend it all to make them that.
There is a college not far from me who installed a hand laid stone wall with pillars around their entire campus. It’s not for security because it’s about three feet tall. I’ll bet the cost was in the millions. Students paid for this crap. Did it increase education? Nope, I’ll bet it didn’t increase enrollments either. It sure looks nice but wasn’t needed.
The issue is this gives non profits a leg up in the negotiations because they will know what the high bid is. So say they have a $20 million dollar property and they bid 2 million and a private firm comes in and bids 12 million. They can then say 12.1 million. That 2 million bid was ridiculously low and could simply be used as a place holder to obtain property at an undervaluation. I’m not sure how this is legal or how it could ever hold up in court.

If New York City has to be sacrificed to warn the rest of the country.
Well, you know, the thing.

How long until Mr. Mc Commie Mamdani bans bacon? Mamdani voters don't deserve bacon, so I hope the ban happens quickly.

I did see that but I didn’t think it passed.
The kicker is they then notified the non-profit of what the winning bid is giving them an option to counter bid from what I saw. How can this not be illegal? Or at least that’s what I saw in the one proposed.

Yes, the NYC (COPA) did pass the NYC Council, but outgoing Mayor Eric Adams vetoed it in late December 2025;

The new mayor said it is the first thing that he will sign.

Saw that too.
What flags are those?
Found it,
The five flags displayed during Zohran Mamdani's inauguration were:

  1. Pride Flag
  2. Transgender Flag
  3. Black Lives Matter Flag
  4. Palestinian Flag
  5. Rainbow Flag
The American Flag was not among those displayed. The inclusion of the Palestinian Flag marked a significant gesture in support of that community.

I’d agree if it would work. These people are too stupid to realize success and failure. All they seem to care about is receiving free government handouts.
