Potential or planned purchases in 2026?

[PipeFitter]

What's everyone looking forward to buying this year? I hope some cool things come out at Shot Show this year that aren't just vaporware!

I saw somewhere that Ruger removed the gunsite scout rifles from their website and may be getting replaced by an American Gen II scout model. Crossing fingers.

Assuming I'm still employed in a few months I plan on getting down to PA to get a bunch of pistol caliber ammo. Used up a bunch last year and need to restock.

Ruger RXM.

It seems to have made it thru the teething period well, Ruger and magpul are expanding it with full size slide and grips, and it allows me to tinker with grips and stippling.

I was in pa last week. Went to Tommy Guns and their ammo was outrageously expensive. A box of hormandy critical defense was $37. 20 minutes away in Honesdale it was $25. A case of 380 was $30 more. Check prices before you purchase.

[Parzival]

Swung by my FFLs house today and picked up my MK4 22/45 Lite I ordered for steel challenge.

Have been looking at ammo, it’s an election year. I’ll probably grab a few cases of 9mm and 22lr. I’ll look around on Buds for free shipping.

[Saltwater60]

Probably nothing. Maybe an afterburner for my 365 or a metal grip module for it but I’m not sure. Some more ammo when I’m out of state.

[thughes]

Cans.....

[S&W Fan]

It’s a bit of a toss up right now. I’m hoping to either pickup a Marlin all weather lever gun in 45-70 or the Ruger American Gen II with fluted barrel in 350 Legend.

[penrod72]

Probably a Tisas, some sort of 9mm 1911
Always add some AR lowers

Some kind of 2" revolver when I find the right one

A pump action 22? (Winchester from 1930's?)

[GOPerfect]

At least 2 new AR builds and up to 4 cans

[dsdmmat]

HK SP5K
SIG 211
Lots of ammo

I really like the sig 211. Post up how you like it when you get it.

[knuts]

Walther pdp sf match-really love the feel of it when i held it.
Or a 2011, not sure which one yet or i might just keep saving for a buy once cry once purchase of a staccato xc, which is my ultimate buy

[FP1201]

I'm thinking of picking up a .375 Ruger in case I book a Dangerous Game Hunt, or need to stop Class 8 Trucks.

I know where there are two new Marlins.

[Vapor]

Just ammo and more normal capacity magazines. I moved quick on handguns and msrs once I moved to PA.

[Robin]

I have a SIG in .45 ACP that I don't really like and am thinking of getting a Colt, Colt clone, or one of those discontinued S&W .45's in SS.

Looking to get a Gen 6 Glock G45 as soon as I find a blue label one in stock. Also have my eye on a Ruger American Gen 2 ranch rifle in 6.5 creedmoor to go with my Gen 2 predator in 6.5. Probably through a 1-4 on it and use it as a handy woods rifle. Since I already have a bunch of 6.5 and AICS mags this would fit in nicely. A GI pattern 1911 from Tisas would also be nice.

[Old Jalopy]

Planned:
Bolt action 350 Legend upper

Definite:
Ammo
Rear flip up site for MSR

I just did that to one of my extra fcu"s , I went with x size gen2 mischief machine commander grip.. along with ramjet on standard 3.1 slide and boy let me tell it feels incredible and shoots like a full size firearm,, and looks sooo pretty .. mischief design his grips to utilize macro holsters so more to chose from..

[C3D]

A house in a free state far away from this craphole?

[Sargepug]

Henry 12 Classic, not sure on caliber yet. Going to gift it to myself for my B'day in March.

Shield X Comp? Or Hellcat Comp?? Hmmmm

Shield X Comp? Or Hellcat Comp?? Hmmmm

one of the ranges i frequest (that is also a shop) keeps telling me to move on from my shield + and that they have an x comp coming in. they are convinced i will swap when i hold it but the propsect of rebuying S&W mags (unless they come out with a plate conversion) could keep that from coming true.

I would love to build out a long range bolt action rifle this year toying with two possible approaches, other than that i need to get a pistol that is optics cut and enter the world of red dots. I hid under a rock for 10 years and when i resurfaced boy have they evolved.

Other items i am watching for but need to first mentally justify are mossberg 590 rm, i cannot say why but i just want one, a .22lr in an ar platform for less expensive reps (compliant of course), and a mark iv

i really need to focus on training over procurring but sometimes it feels like pokemon.... you gotta catch em all!

Love my Hellcat Pro. The Comp is definitely enticing though!

Probably a 2k11 chambered in .45. Maybe a Kimber

Self-Installed.

I sent you a pm for some more details on what you bought. I love this one but I don’t want to go through and replace all my mags. My 365 I have 9 mags for and my xl I have 8 mags for that one. Mags are $60/each.
My son has an sig 365 axg legion and it’s a lovely gun. Well it’s mine until he gets his permit. But if I had to do it all over again I’d just buy that gun and leave it as is while stocking up on mags. Maybe get a shorter slide and barrel combo if it fit the frame. I think they do, but I would have to verify that.

I have never fired anything with a comp or ports. I do ask if it is THAT noticeable to people who do not live on the range. only way i will know is to buy one and compare myself.... shucks.

Yep, absolutely!! It is so different for me that it gives me a false sense that I'm better than I am. Guns that are comped shoot way flatter and help you stay on target for follow up shots and its like night and day between comp and no comp. I am in no means a pro and I only have 1 gun that has a compensator but have shot many. With that being said, my Canik TTI Combat is an extremely fun gun to shoot and is definitely a more fun gun to shoot than any other non comped gun I own. YMMV
