Don't think it was just the mayor. It looks like it's another leftist was the culprit involved. Nashville has it's own separate public utility (not part of TVA) and they have a new CEO, Teresa Broyles-Aplin, who was an in-house tree hugging accountant who focused on solar energy, mass transit, reducing tree trimming and DEI crap. She had no direct utility experience or related experience other than bean counting. When an unqualied DEI searched bean counter is promoted to lead an electric utility this shit happens. Nashville had a worse outcome than the surrounding counties because of tree trimming that comes under Nashville Electric Service and Miss Teresa.
