Burglar fatally shot on Avery Street

Rochester Police say a burglar is dead after being shot by a homeowner on the city's west side early on Monday.

This will get lost in all the furor over the 15 other shootings and 4 dead over the weekend during the Puerto Rican Festival here. Its an annual bloodbath, and the ROC city council doesnt dare shut it down lest they be called racist.

From what I read the homeowner is in the clear , licensed handgun . Cops said it was justified .
