In the very least Kirk wouldn't have been actively trying to destroy the country.

Even if you think Bush was better than Kirk would be, that still puts him in 3rd.

I loved watching Charlie Kirk debate people, and I think he was very good at presenting fact-based arguments in a calm manner, even when against rage-filled blue hairs. I agreed with a lot of what he said, but, like you, I was not a fan of his religious angle. In my opinion, organized religion is all about control, consolidation of power, and accumulation of wealth, using fairy tales, ghost stories and the promise of eternal life to draw people in.

Really, anything using the logic found in the fable about the emperor's new clothes should be considered with heavy skepticism, if not outright dismissal. "Only those with faith will go to heaven" is the same thing as "only the smart people can see these fancy new clothes."

What's really odd to me is that even if I took everything at face value - that there's an invisible peeping tom in the sky who behaves like a petulant child, damning people to eternal suffering if they break his rules or fail to worship him - that's not something I'd be interested in following. I, a flawed human, am above such petulant behavior. I have no desire to be worshiped. But you're telling me that this all-powerful supreme being has the temperament of a small child, stomping on anthills when they don't act the way he wants? Pfft.
