Petition to Address Westchester County Permit Delays.

[NickGiordano1214]

Hey! I recently started a petition about the delays with Westchester County pistol permits.
I went through the process myself and waited almost a year, and it seems like the wait is even worse for people now.
I’m just trying to get some attention on the issue and hopefully get enough signatures to make a difference. If you get a chance, I’d really appreciate you checking it out and sharing it. You don't need to be a Westchester Resident to show your support for this cause. I'm hoping we can help effect change in other counties that are dealing with the same issues.

Sign the Petition

Thanks, I really appreciate it!

You could get everyone in NYS to sign this and it wouldn’t matter. I commend you for trying but they don’t care. BTW I did sign it.

And that’s why I’m doing it. To try and get them to care. Sitting around talking about it won’t get anything done. Trying is better than kicking rocks and hoping for change.

A lawsuit is the only way change will come about. They are violating the law, make them face that reality in the courts.

(That said, they'd just change the law after someone won.)

they can try. But so can we.

A petition is the most impotent form of activism imaginable.

Second only to bitching about it on the internet LOL.

What are you doing to make a change besides bitching on a message board?

[VietnamEraVet]

Well, Nick, you asked what I am doing. Here goes:

1. Holding parties accountable whenever possible.
2.Contributing to organizations fighting the corrupt anti-2A actors in NY and everywhere else, including the NRA, GOA, SAF that have sued and won cases on our side,- with BRUEN being one of the more well known.
3. Spreading the word whenever and wherever possible, including to friends, family, strangers,- whomever!
4. Publicly and thoughtfully commenting across social media as well as traditional media.
5. Doing our part to get rid of sellout politicians. I personally campaigned against lying traitorous RINO NY legislator Mark Grisanti (who sold us out and gave Cuomo the last vote in the middle of the night to pass and impose the (UN)SAFE Act on us).

And anything else I think will help our side.

I don’t want to dampen your enthusiasm, but as a NY gun owner you have a long road ahead of you to slog through against these bastards.

I’ve advised on 6 lawsuits against licensing agencies in NY and sued — and won — in the EDNY against SCPD. What have you done, big guy? Filled out an internet petition? Screamed into a paper bag?

If you want to fight, get some money and hire a lawyer. I can recommend several and I’ll be happy to provide input on your case.

I get it. I wasn’t trying to be rude or discourage you. It’s something and I get it, but it’s unlikely to be effective was my point. I signed it for a reason and that was to support your efforts.
I went through the same with my permit and it was 14 months of waiting.
