It's a bloodbath but still not the end of the world or the end of the country as we know it. It does pretty much guarantee, however, that rogue judges or criminal Democrats would never be impeached by Congress.
The last time the taxpayers and citizens got really screwed by new legislation / taxes was when Obama had a Democrat Senate and House and all kinds of shit loaded with government overreach and hidden taxes / fees was shoved up our ass.
Controlling the Whitehouse makes a huge difference when Democrats control both houses (without veto proof majorities). In Reagan's second midterm the Dems flipped the Senate and kept the House, and the country easily survived.
Filling a vacant SCOTUS seat could be a shit show with a polarized Senate if it comes up with a Democrat Senate .... so hopefully the good guys hang in there.

To drift on a tangent, the older I get the more God proves to me that he exists.
I have experienced many "mini-miracles". None are "Part the Red Sea", but they are, typically , several highly unlikely but beneficial events that occur over a day or two. They all fit together in ways that I could never predict, but see in hindsight.
I won't bore you with many of them, but perhaps you too have had a flat tire on a time and place that could not possibly be more convenient. I have. And once even in a spot not convenient, that resulted in me avoiding a fatal highway pile up that I do believe I would have been present for.
Ok, I will bore you. I love Halloween and decorating. I do not fill my yard with a cacophony of disjointed objects: they need to full fill a theme I wish to display. For instance, imagine a display of Frankenstein and only objects related to him. That's my speed.
Anyhow, at Spirit Halloween all is 1/2 price on November 1st. I wanted nothing, but the missus wanted a costume, so I said sure, we'll visit the closest Spirit. But there was a sign on the door: Open at 2PM. In past years they opened at the advertised time of 9AM.
Odd. But my "Spidey Sense" was triggered.
We then proceeded to the next closest location, which I had vowed not to visit. They had incredible Store Displays for sale ... they just wanted to be rid of them. At amazing low prices. Most people don't even think of buying Store Displays, but I do. They are generally the highest quality and the least costly. And I purchased items perfect for my next Frankenstein vision.
I did have a Frankenstein Display one year, actually for three years. I was the Mad Scientist and reanimated a Rubber Chicken, then Cerberus. Then Cerberus again. But now I have a complete collection of objects for that next display.
Keep in mind that the materials could not be assembled in any single year. These projects require foresight and opportunity.
Is God so simple that He supports my simple displays? Maybe He does. If He did not force that first store to be closed, I never would have discovered the items I need for next year. He did me a solid.
Anyhow, back to tonight's elections...
I'm no Holy Roller, and have utter disdain for the Vatican. But I watch Bible Videos as a pastime with my family, and although God can be quite merciful (at times) with individuals, He is very cruel (but fair) with nations that embrace evil.
America is not an evil country. It is, in fact, the greatest and fairest in history ... or was.
Still, America has degenerated further than Sodom or Gomorrah. In some misguided attempt of "Tolerance", we promote tolerance of every sin and perversion imaginable.

Every urban center and the entire I35 corridor is deep blue.
Statewide Texas is more purple than pink in that Democrats narrowly outnumber Republicans and have for sometime. The reason that, of late, Republicans won Statewide races is they had greater voter turnout. The independents in Texas are key but are susceptible to skillful media spin if candidates can't get their message out.

He has delivered on his immigration promise. I would argue that what he’s done there does not actually help your life in any way whatsoever, but he did deliver. On all of the economic issues things are worse, and he broke his promise about war, Epstein files, and various other things. Americans see it and his approval ratings are in the shitter.
