Let's get straight to it. 9mm sucks anyway

I came here to fondle my dingus and explain why the 45 is vastly superior to the 9mm.

And I'm all out of dingus.

Paging Dr. @Willjr75. Please pick up the white courtesy phone.

[Darth]

Oh shit, he posted the thread!

, WTF am I doing?

Move along, nothing to see here.

[Darth]

"That's not close encounters, what am I doing?"

Nevermind...

Sorry. I was wacking it to a Glock and lost track of time.

Yeah. 9mm forever. Blood in blood out.

[Podmonkey]

I was gonna post this, but then the results were.......... mediocre I guess?
Still, been kinda wanting a 92. Specifically the uber cool 92G-SD version.

So far that Rex Zero or Arex
(Can't remember the name) is the only one that passed every test. The Glock was a close second with only one failure to go into battery after being drenched and dropped in the sand.

Don't care, I'll never buy an Arex, and though I keep wanting to like them, I really do want to like them, everytime I shoot a Glock I'm just "Yeesh".
Current three pistols I would love to have right now, in no particular order,
Beretta 92G-SD
CZ P01, decocker
SIG P320 RX
Maybe you notice the common thread of these pistols vs the AREX.
Also gonna have to get in a S&W 626 in. Or better yet 586 (Love blued guns) just wish it was offered in a 7 shot like the 686.

I don't understand. It's not nirvana for me either when I hold a Glock. I just have one because it holds 11 rounds and is small for carry. The light trigger is a plus.

It's a tool.

There are other tools that I prefer. My defensive needs are adequately filled by me Shield and PPQ.
The common thread is that none of those pistols have manual safeties. I automatically strongly dislike any DA/SA with a manual safety. Safeties with a decocking function such as the Berretta 92 or H&K USP get a grudging pass from me.

No. You are only to prefer a Glock 26.

Um.......... Huh? That reads like Chinglish instructions.

[ECU Pirates]

I think some of these pistols would do better skipping the element test and going right to the gauntlet. The lube could be about gone after the element tests.

I love he beretta. Favorite pistol. All of u glock guys are losers! Beretta is where it's at! 92FS Ftw

Wrong fanboy. The Glock had two failures.

No fanboy. I'd never get a 17 or a 43 or any Glock in another caliber.

26 or 19. That's it.

The Berettas safety is for the birds.

The Berettas safety is for the birds.

Good thing they make a decock only model.

[Podmonkey]

Decocker is the only way to go on a DA/SA. A safety is a redundant control on this action.

I meant glock. lmao

Even a decocker is too many gadgets. What the hell do you need a hammer for? That's going backwards.

Because some of the finest pistols in the world are hammer fired. Hammer fired guns can deliver more striking energy to the primer, you can double strike the primer, dry fire practice is much more convenient, and thw triggwrs are usaully better. But mostly because there is more to handguns than plastic ass fucking Glocks. And if you have a DA/SA you need a decocker to operate it safely, we've gone over this already many times elswhere.

[freddy]

But mostly because there is more to handguns than plastic ass fucking Glocks.

Ha!!!

[freddy]

I think the 92FS or variants are worthy simply for the reason that they were a standard military sidearm for the last 30+ years. Therefore, appropriate knowledge for a shtf scenario.

You are making it a Glock thing when it is not. A gun made of metal doesn't have to have a hammer and could still have a good trigger.

That's your opinion. Every hear of double strike capability? Riding a hammer when holstering (aiwb)? The option to shoot single action (better than any glock trigger)?

Again with the Glock....
