Pocket carry? Pocket pistol?

I've no interest in guns I can't also enjoy on the range. While my Shield is harder to shoot than my PPQ I do enjoy shooting it. That .380 Seecamp? I'd enjoy getting kicked in the balls more than shooting that thing! I wonder how a Diamondback handles? Provided it works long enough to find out.

Sig P238 is reasonable, and fun, to shoot. For a pocket .380, it is a bit heavy at 15.2oz (unloaded). But, that makes it way more manageable for me compared to the LCP (that I only tried once).

The recoil doesn't bother me at all, however I tend not to be very recoil sensitive, so YMMV. My wife doesnt mind the recoil from it either, and she does tend to be though. I can put a couple hundred rounds through it in a day at the range.

It is plenty accurate for what it is, I can manage head shots on a silouette at 15 yards fairly reliably. That is accurate enough for me to carry it.

The previous owner painted the sights white, I "unpainted" the rear, but left the front. At some point I will redo the job more cleanly, the factory sights need a bit more visibility.

Thanks. Ive heard nothing, but good things about them. I'll get one someday sooner rather than later. I'll get the LCP II for sure. It's a much better gun from what I saw.

This French guy I worked with wear skinny paints so tight I thought they were man leggings. I don't know where he puts it unless it's the size of a baby carrot. Also they are capri style paints. Yuck.

Now that I'm retired , I pocket carry a little more often.

It was liberating the first time because I'm used carrying a heavier caliber.

A .380 was great for this purpose but belt carry is still to engrained in my muscle memory to a regular thing yet.

I've been pocket carrying my kimber solo with a propper sweatshirt. It has a magnetic hole inside the pocket of the sweatshirt to allow you to access your gun without anyone knowing you drew it. I've been clipping the gun on the inside of my left pocket. It's pretty great. I can pull the gun and have it ready to go and just flip it out of the pocket or just flip the sweatshirt up if I need to fire really fast or if some one gets the jump on me.
I agree my other gun is better, but I just do this for a quick run somewhere. I'll be doing both tonight when I go buy a kayak off Craigslist from the ghetto.

I hate it - every 2A supporter hates it - BUT...

Every single Handgun on it has passed a series of truly torturous tests for reliability and safety.

They fire it over and over and over, drop it - multiple times. Etc, Etc.

The bottom line is although there are MANY very high quality Handguns that ARE NOT on this list (because the manufacturers refused to kiss our AG's asshole), every last handgun on this Roster is of the highest quality. You can bet your life on that !

The Seecamp .32 is on it.

As I said long ago, I'm only on this forum because the members are awesome, the mods are fair, and because NorthEastShooters.Com BANNED me (like six times).

Say something TRUE about MUSLIMS; post a pic of a woman in a Bikini; write something while DRUNK (wtf); and they BAN you.

Sometimes they don't even refund your $20 annual dues.

I have a 1st gen Ruger LCP. Been carrying it for years without issue. Yes the trigger is like a staple gun, but its not a target gun...Point and pull. It works. I usually carry it in my front right pocket in a Elite pocket holster. I actually just picked up a Fobus paddle OWB for it yesterday I am going to try.

You'll receive a lot of flak concerning ANKLE CARRY in most Gun Forums.

Just not accessible enough, they say. And probably nasty with a 1911 !

But I've carried my Seecamp .32ACP on my ankle in a DeSantis for years. Very comfortable, and easily concealed.

Quite easily snuck by any half-assed Security Guard with a wand, too.

I would never try to get into a Courthouse, Jail, etc., wearing it.

But some silly concert, movie theatre, or fair, I just might. But why bother ? Those places are SO safe.

So if there is an instance at work the odds are I will be taking a knee behind my desk anyways, so I will be in the correct position to draw. I do stop at target and the gas station on my way home, but other than that I don't deviate much. For all other carry I will be using an IWB gun.

You can actually draw quicker too if seated in the car. Look on YouTube. They have many ankle draw techniques.

Just to draw my wallet I need to lift myself up out of the car seat.

I agree, that little pistol was abusive to shoot. My friend had one. I suggested he throw it in the river.

I couldn’t agree more with @Bullet Guy on this. I talked myself into a M&P Bodyguard when they first came out with the M&P version without the laser. I overpaid for it, still have it, and I hate the thing. Trigger is gritty and way too long. It’s crazy uncomfortable to shoot, added rubberized Talon grips that helped only slightly. Eventually I’ll either sell or trade it when I figure out what I want to replace it with.

Shoot someone's Smith 642, I bought mine over six years ago and carried it every day since. Some times I'll take a New York Reload in addition to the 642.

A fine fail proof revolver for under $500 perfect for pocket carry.
