Picked this up today, S & W Model 637. I've been wanting a revolver I can carry that is chambered in something larger than 22 WMR (I have a NAA Pug and SW 351PD). I went back and forth between this and the model 360 but the price on the 360 is more than I wanted to pay. The last time I shot 38 Special was actually during my first go around at college, a 3 credit course called "basic firearms". Great instructor, the college folded the course a few years after I took it from my understanding.

Good for her. My wife is just starting the permit process herself. IMO any woman that is capable, and willing to carry is taking control and ownership of their safety and well being.

Yes a family that shoots together stays together. Good look with the wife getting permit hope everything goes 1 2 3. Make sure everytime you purchase something new that they put both your name and her name on the receipt makes it easier to add on both permits

Maybe after some trigger time on the 42 she'll wanna step up to the 43 eh? There are some good .380 loads out there besides.

Speaking of 42s... I was looking at the glock website last night to see if I could get specs on the 29. I guess no one is making a G30 80% frame yet but I'd like to make a 29 out of one. I saw the 25 and 28. They are restricted to LEO only. Never knew there were ones that civilians couldn't own. Must be frustrating to collectors.

ETA: the training pistols are LEO only as well

The only 80% out there for glocks are 9mm/40/357 since they are all the same, then they go with the small medium large (26/19/17 for example) they are now starting to make 43 80% lowers.

As for the 25 and 28 being restricted for LEO that has to do with The Gun Control Act of 1968, where restrictions were placed on guns that could be imported, and both those guns do not "score" enough points to be imported into the states

Yeah hopefully someone will make one soon. I can see the 10mm not being a big hit but I'm surprised no one has made a 45 frame. I wan't the G30 frame so I can make a 29.
