I’ve got money, coming home on the 21st of December - Jan 3rd.

Would like to scoop up and m1 on Holiday Block, can someone help me? Anyone selling? looking to spend $1200 max.

had the Same here thought when seeing the title .. CMP .. might need to up the $$$ to 1500 .. sign up with CMP check there store

also get your FFL 03 .. DO IT .. THAT'S A ORDER .. Grasshopper .. NO NICS .. ship to your home ..

got him on FB too sent the above to him there too ..

If I remember correctly CMP will not ship to :fuac: land even with FFL 03 because when I wanted one they told me only shipping to regular FFL because of :fuac:safe act unless they've changed recently.

if so .. well that Fkin Sucks .. .. but Grasshopper is not really in NY at the moment ;) .. would be good for him to get anyways ..

Correct . CMP purchase must go through 01 and pay nics.

might not have to pay for the NICS .. since your a FF03 to begin with .. just that CMP wants to act like Midway because the unSafeAct ..
( midway usa wont send nuttin to NY .. even a BP Rifle to a FFL here ( the FFL tried to order it ) .. nope not sending shit ..) FUAC AND SAME TO MIDWAY ..

I have not bought an M1 since the SAFE ACT, but I think and you can check it on the CMP Website, that you fill out the paperwork/send a check or use your CC. They do an NICS check @ the CMP and then they send the rifle to a local FFL of your choosing. I don't think the FFL will charge you for both a NICS & a Transfer, but if they do then time to find a new FFL! Time to check so your sure ! Good luck and enjoy your M1 if and when you get one !

no idea what CMP store does ..

but when i was looking into the 03 and talking to the local FFL here .. just bring a copy of it ( do not sign the one they send you ) .. sign it . no nics ..

$1200 is more than enough for CMP Garand. There are different grades, you can save some money by buying Garand with newly made furniture instead of original, metal will be original. It will also shoot better.

That would solve everything! Go to the CMP Store and just pick it up there. They do the NICS check and you walk out with the rifle. The BIG bonus is you get to look over hundreds of rifles and pic the one YOU want,,Win,Win ! Yea good luck with that,, some FFLs are better than others but some are like jeeezeee,, really,I think there trying to fund their retirement and kid education all in one swoop!

just checked with my friends wife who works at the FFL here and does all the nics checks a few hours ago .. no nics required if your a FFL03 buying a C&R rifle .. just need a copy of your FFL03 cert , take it to them , sign it and pay for the gun ..

Don’t know about your location but Louie’s gun shop in Bath NY has a Springfield and a Harrington and Richardson for sale. The gun shop in Arkport NY, which used to be Schultheis, has a Winchester garand with grenade launcher and other accessories. Garands are beautiful rifles. I have a Springfield that has a low 40k serial number, that will one day go to my son.
