Unfortunately, there is the Taylor Law, section 210 that prevents members of critical services from striking if my memory serves correctly.

While this doesn't effect me as I work for a private hospital, not everyone has the luxury of just quitting and upending everything.

Realistically it's the exact reason I haven't been able to leave this shit hole state. I have a certification bound by region, my wife has a city job with a pension. My elderly mother doesn't want to move.

Responsibilities suck. Knee jerk reactions and rage quitting are the game of the millennial and liberals.

Many state and city run unions can not go on strike. I can’t.

Oh and I can’t just quit my job either. I have a family depending on me and I have up a lot to start this job. I could go back to my other job I’m sure but I’d be giving up an awesome schedule and some other benefits. I could make more money I’m sure but money isn’t everything.

You can literally die from taking this vaccine. That's what I think many are forgetting. I get that it's not easy and could be very detrimental to your lifestyle but is dying worth it? If anyone is depending on you then they'll surely be screwed if you up and die.

Wow. Just quit? Really ?
So you would give up your profession that would take years to transfer( go to a different department) if it’s at all possible. Active cops try for years to get to other departments so you basically telling them they have to move. The majority will not be able to transition to a job that comes close to their former pay after working in the police department for years.
And you are asking them to give up the possibility of their pension. It’s like asking you to give up your 401k after 20 to 40 years of savings.
All of that for an issue they are not likely to encounter EVER.
