Even if today anybody from any state could buy a handgun from somebody in a different state we in NY still have to have it added to our CCW permit before we can take possession of it. So even if everything changed we are still basically handicapped because of that.
I have a “5 in 9mm that is running a 14lb recoil spring that shoots 115grain range ammo just fine. It also could be extractor tension being too tight which can cause a malfunction, but then I would expect to see an occasional failure to fully go into battery for when a live round is stripped...
40s&w guns are great because they are only a barrel swap away from being a 357 sig gun, or just a barrel, recoil spring assembly and magazine swap away from being a 9mm gun. At the next gun show I’m hoping to find a nice condition G23 or G22 that can be swapped into 357 sig.
any chance you could start a new thread for this? I’d love to see a picture of the exact malfunction and what it looks like. Based upon all the 1911’s I’ve worked on I’d say either something with the extractor, recoil spring is too light and wrong kind of spring, or maybe the magazine.
I have the hunter stock on my Gen 2 American predator. For this one I actually really like the factory glenfield stock. This is going to be one of my main hunting rifles so I like the all weather nature of the stock. Eventually I want to get the reciever and barrel cerakoted for better all...
Added a threaded bolt handle and enlarged bolt handle knob to my Glenfield Model A. Also swapped out the stock firing pin for a hardened stainless one.

I am shipping a handgun in for custom work. The company sent me an RMA label for FedEx, thus I have to ship with FedEx unless I want to pay the shipping myself. Normally I just use UPS as their distribution center is conveniently located. If you could just easily call someone at FedEx and they...
I’m curious how they got permission to sell guns that used to be full auto. I’m pretty sure the atf has always taken the stance “once a full auto reciever always a full auto reciever”.
Sighted in the Glenfield Model A today.
Here is 4 shots at 50 yards
Here is 4 shots at 100 yards. The last shot I jerked the trigger and sent a flier to the left.
Ammo used was factory Sig marksman hunter 130grain 6.5 creedmoor. Gun is stock other than the paracord sling and vortex...
They can not. Per FedEx policy a firearm must be shipped from one of their distribution centers.
Spent most of today on the phone trying to get the address of a FedEx distribution center. Tried calling every phone number they gave but the AI would not put a person on the phone without a...
